Didn't want to play against Lebron I guess - or just needed an excuse for poor play if it happens. Good ole' TMAC.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5522052.html McGrady treated for 'severe' respiratory infection Rockets guard 'hopeful' he can play against Cavaliers By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle The Rockets’ hopes to get on a homecourt run before the All-Star break might have been sidetracked Thursday when guard Tracy McGrady was forced to miss the morning shootaround with what was termed “a severe upper respiratory infection.” Rockets spokesman Nelson Luis said McGrady, who was being treated at Memorial Hermann Hospital, was “hopeful” he could play against the Cavaliers. The Rockets have won 8 of 9 games since McGrady came back from injuries to his left knee, losing only in the game that center Yao Ming missed with an upper respiratory infection. They won one of those games with McGrady out with the flu. Though just 12-9 at Toyota Center this season, they are 8-4 when both McGrady and Yao play. jonathan.feigen@chron.com
Something is definitely going around this winter season! The amount of missed games from sickness is amazing this season, even from other teams.
Is an upper respiratory infection something you can spread? Seems like this thing has been stuck in our locker room for awhile. Hope he gets better soon. We could really use him tonight. At least it's a home game. Let's see if Tmac going out will force Yao to play the way he did before Tmac came back.
i would believe TMAC on this one...i'm usually hard on him but if he has what Yao had, it seems tough to play.... but I do agree that this guy seems to have every injury and every sickness possible during his career..
