Watched this today. Great movie. Great car scenes. Great ending. Only time any Bond Actor has had a character arc through all of his previous movies. Must watch for any Bond fan. And I'll say this as a huge fan of cars; especially in the 80's. I'd never seen a 1987 DB5 before. And I highly recommend anyone to watch the recap below prior to watching. It has been a 15 year time frame between all of the movies.
The silver one looks like the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Neil Peart owned before he died. That is one expensive car. I believe it was recently auctioned off with an estimated value between $650,000 and $725,000. Not sure what it actually sold for at auction.
I looked up the 87 and they're going for $300k. Learn from my brother. Get one from the 2000s going for 25k. Keep it nice. Drive it a couple times a month, and the value will skyrocket in 10 years. And you get to do that rather than a stock investment.
im a lifelong bond fanatic and the last movie really ruined the daniel craig franchise for me. this is the first time i have not immediately gone to the theater to see a bond movie. im just not excited to see it. it was so emo - blofelds dad adopted bond and blofeld was driven to become a criminal mastermind b/c his dad liked bond better. all the events in the previous three movies happened simply because blofeld was jealous of bond. i hated that. it totally subjugates all the bad guys and everything that happened in those movies to him. to me it just came off as really lazy and it took away from the other movies.
If it makes you feel better Rotten Tomatoes has them ranked as follows: Casino Royale - 94% and 90% - 4th best Bond film Quantum of Solace - 64% and 58% - 17th best Bond film Skyfall - 92% and 86% - 5th best Bond film Spectre - 63% and 61% - 19th best Bond film No Time to Die - 84% and 88% - 7th best Bond film
