This is very disturbing that Adelman is not even playing Steve Francis. He has the most heart on the team! Why the heck would u sign a player of his caliber and not even use him. You play luther head over the Franchise? Come on let's get real! If we want to win put Stevie in!! :D

Steve should not be playing much if he has an enlarged heart. That is a major health concern.

I think Steve (and Landry) didn't play because they played so much last game. Also, I'm afraid that Steve is the odd one out - he stays with the team but his minutes go to Head. I would rather trade a package of some of Head/Reed/Novak/Snyder/Butler for a PF/C who is a tall defensive specialist. I worry about the nights when Scola and Hayes are in foul trouble (though I like what I'm seeing from Landry, I just don't know how good his D is against top caliber PFs). I prefer Steve to Head because his driving skills are still pretty impressive (see the last preseason game versus Memphis). Head has improved some in his ability to put the ball on the floor, we just have to see if he can translate that into the regular season. Both players need to step up their D.

it's pretty obvious Adelman was using his regular nine-man rotation last night

Are you telling me that Snyder is a better player than Steve Francis? Luther Head who dribbled the ball off his own foot out of bonds, better than Steve? He could at least have done as good as Mike James or Rafer (who is back to his brick laying ways). Please, are you telling me that Francis is not better than a garbage time player? I can't see that unless they plan on cutting him.

It was very intriguing to see Snyder off the bench before Francis. That may very well happen in the regular season, and Adelman said Snyder plays very similar to Bonzi. Yes, I've said since summer that Head will be getting more minutes than Francis, and Adelman thinks so as well.

I said since we acquired Francis that people who thought he'd be a key player (99% of this board) on this team would be severely dissapointed, yet everyone laughed at me. Damn it feels good being right

ROFL @ the people on this BBS that still think Steve Francis has a spot in the regular rotation ahead of Luther Head.

Better start getting used to it ... Francis is scrub/insurance, and not much more.

This is just payback for all the countless turnovers and shotclock violations caused by Steve. Sure, the guy has heart and talent, but he is the dumbest basketball player I have ever witnessed. He just does not know how to win. I'm pulling for him, but until he learns to be a team player then he's never going to get it.

I'm thinking I would have the most heart ever if I was ever on the Rockets. I would have a permanent smile on my face. Does that mean I should play over Yao?

It's pretty obvious Snyder was in there to get a final look. The final rotation was everybody up until Snyder. He didn't get into the game till late. With that said, Francis WILL crack the rotation. The season hasn't even started yet. Lots of things can change. Anyways, you can't win without HEART. Francis would have got us the win if he played in the 4th. :D

Give Francis some time, he has to learn how to play off the ball, this is totally new to him.

He is still talented but right now there are others playing at a higher level.

He will get his chance to shine.

heart is nullified when you play stupid. francis won't be a rotation player you'll see every night. he'll be playing snyder's role of last year (post-injury), showing up once in a blue moon. the way things are looking now, i think Snyder may be ahead of Francis in the rotation.

    Bingo!!

I can't believe how much his athletic skills have deteriorated...and those were his only weapons. Some say it's conditioning, but I doubt it.

A declining, ball-dominating guard with matador defense won't find much playing time under RA unless someone goes down.

I think snyder will be cut. He's playing really really bad. Too bad harris is out.

What?!? Did you not see his putback dunk or how he can still break down his man and drive to the hoop? His athleticism may not be like his rookie days but it's still there.

Francis should be cut. Worst offseason move of the summer was signing him.
