they will suspend david andersen for being in the way of kidds elbow via mark cuban....

seems like stern still has a grudge against the Rockets..

He won't get a suspension for that, it was not nearly as malicious as Fisher's on Scola where he loaded up...

Should have been upgraded to a Flagrant 1... which only results in a fine that is taken out Kidd's salary, if i'm not mistaken. Nothing else...

Kidd clearly loaded up on that...funny how he waits for Thomas to get in to start shoving.

Just look at the video above...I'm pretty sure he loaded up for that one. Very similar to what Fisher did to Scola, only Scola sold the foul but Andersen didn't.

If you judge the foul by Stern's new NBA Kidd should definitely be suspended. It is the Holiday's however meaning I wouldn't be surprised if they conveniently miss it.

That was clearly malicious and Thomas should get some sort of fine as well.

I would wait for Thomas, too. He is a proven fighter in the octag--- I mean, Denny's.

As mentioned, if Andersen had sold it like Scola did (and he wasn't a Rockets player) Kidd would miss a game. Ariza didn't even make contact with his elbow but still got a game. Kidd's intentions were bad, that's enough.

I don't see the big deal. Looks like a flagrant foul, but he didn't really throw an elbow. It was a more like a bodily push, and Andersen could see it coming. I don't think there's much risk of injury on something like that.

In Kidd's defense, DA looks like Kidd's ex-wife.

No, I think Andersen had every right to be upset....but I just don't see it as bad as Fisher's was......

This thread made me go find Fisher's foul again.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CENZNnn0G1A&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CENZNnn0G1A&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Fisher's was a lot worse. The same kind of hit, but Fisher managed to make it much dirtier than Kidd.

If Fisher's foul was a flagrant penalty 2, Kidd's should at least be a penalty 1. It was slightly less damaging, but with the exact same intent.

The foul is almost exactly the same; Scola just flopped way harder than Andersen.
