I willl suspect Morey's IQ if he trade both Artest and Battier for Carter.

I prefer Artest rather than Carter because of Artest's strongest defense ability, younger .....

Why we could not afford Artest 1000K in next year?

I am still worring about the situation that we will lose Artest and Battier together.

That's right. What's the difference between t-mac and his cousin? That will be the 2nd worst trade that Rockets has made, just a little better than trade for t-mac

The trade for Tmac is still a good trade.....Steve Francis is a broke homie, Cato sucked, and Mobley is out of the league.

Tmac gave us a winning team (granted no playoff success, but we weren't getting that with a broke Francis either) and now gives us a 23 million dollar expiring contract.

That was NOT a bad trade.

I think its so quiet because its such a small trade. Luther Head is probably gonna go for a draft pick, since he doesnt play and Wafer took his spot. Maybe pick up a vet like cassell with Heads roster spot if the kings release him

Poor Cassell. Boston throwing him out on his ass when all he wanted was a championship. Bring him back in.

I agree with you. 40-45 mil for 4 years for a 30 year old Artest is way better than
46 mil. for 3 years for a 34 year old Carter

Morey is not stupid, I'd be shocked if this went through.

Does anyone really believe that Artest would hurt the Rockets more than help this year? I for one am not only optimistic but confident that (esp now that Tmac is out) the team chemistry will really click in the 2nd half.

Although it was only the Nets, I was encouraged by the team play on the defensive end last night. I saw effort (Artest especially) on the defensive end throughout the game.

Wouldn't it be in the Rockets best interest to keep him atleast through the end of this season? Not to mention bringing in another player (whoever that might be) would kill whatever continuity this club has achieved over the last couple of games.

if morey trades battier, it would be the worst move he could possibly do. morey is too smart for that. he values battier more than any other GM in the league.

anything with artest, landry, and head would be ok.

    I agree, I also don't mind losing Dorsey or T-mac. :)

    Everyone else better be untouchable.

1000k is still a good deal for anyone with talent.
