Spoke to a couple of friends with the team, and they don't forsee a press conference today. I was told maybe on Monday. He probably signs tomorrow and they hold it on Monday.... I was also told this "There is no information to report, so no press conference until there is" So mum is word as of right now! ------------------ A Chuck paraphrase: It was surreal! Thanks, Puff. I heard the same thing. I think he got held up at home in Detroit and wasn't able to get a late flight last night or an early one this morning. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Sounds like the same old song and dance. I like the quote... "There is no information to report, so no press conference until there is" ------------------ Don't you have anything better to do?

Anyone else notice a distinct lack of eagerness on ESPN.com's part to put Mo Taylor signing with the Rockets on their web page? I think they're still feeling the sting from jumping the gun on the 4-team deal and contributing to Detroit eventually pulling out. ------------------ "There's 1,000 different things we're looking at, but there's not a lot of things there." -- Rudy T., apparently after taking a hit of acid.
Any press conference would be held at Westside. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Do you guys think this signifies a reluctance of Mo to sign, and a last ditch attempt to find another deal... or is it really just an innocuous inability fo find a plane flight? ------------------ Shandon Anderson rocks. The lottery sucks. Playoffs 2001.
I'm willing to accept the Chronicle's explanation: I'm pretty sceptical of agents and what information gets floated out to the press, but this sounds acceptable. Someone posted that even if the deal is signed Saturday, that a press conference would likely be held off for Monday. You typically don't hear ANYTHING from the Rockets organization until the ink is dry, so if Rockets insiders are letting this much out, it sounds like a lock. ------------------ "There's 1,000 different things we're looking at, but there's not a lot of things there." -- Rudy T., apparently after taking a hit of acid.
