its been reported that duncan told one of his teammates that he will either go the orlando or resign there. damn!!!!, i was hoping that he would sign here for one year then get his real contract after dream retired.
He's not going anywhere! It's all a bunch of calculated leaks by Duncan and his agent to make sure the Spurs franchise gives him the maximum salary possible. Duh! By the way, does that teammate have a name? NO, because their wasn't one. If you really want someone to go after this off season it is Grant Hill. He very well may leave Detroit, but Duncan is a lock to stay.
Dikembe Mutombo is a free agent in 2001, when Hakeem retires. He and Cato would make a nice defensive duo.
duncan's not staying in san antonio or else he would already resigned there.i think if they win it he will stay but if they dont he's gone, and to tell you the truth san antonio looks like a shell of themselves. and why would you resign with a team that in another year or two all their players will be reitred when you can play for a team that will end up with at least 2 of these mentioned guys(eddie jones, tracy mcgrady, grant hill, and i guess even mo taylor) ------------------ johnny "red" kerr:i'm glad the bulls did'nt draft steve francis. dan roan: why!!!!! johnny red kerr:because he would forever be compared to michael jordan.
hey i like that signature Brahma. Last night I was just skipping back and forth to wgn to see what they would say. They sounded like they made the wrong choice. They were all over how francis has so much talent.
i know f3, i was watching the game last night and elton brand looks like he'll be another vin baker, and i think francis is like allen iverson and jason williams in one. ------------------ johnny "red" kerr:i'm glad the bulls did'nt draft steve francis. dan roan: why!!!!! johnny red kerr:because he would forever be compared to michael jordan.
Duncan's a swimmer not a cowboy... Orlando makes too much sense for him: a) short flight home b) tons of cap space c) not a desert d) doc rivers ps. be patient w/ brand. in 3-5 years, noone will really challenge him.
Also.. San Antonio has no future.. Old as hell and orlando is just the opposite. I think he will go to orlando.
Brahma, Why hasn't he signed yet? Because the negotiating power is on his end of the table! He is deserving of a giant contract and he is playing his hand to get it by talking about Orlando. He could certainly go there, don't get me wrong, but I am very sold in my belief that he does not want to go to a losing and rebuilding squad. In San Antonio he enjoys yearly title contention, and a good freindship with David Robinson. He has too much there to leave. Francis3, "San Antonio has no future.. Old as hell and orlando is just the opposite" San Antonio is loaded from 1 to 12, and even the worst players on that team are simply great role players(It is almost the opposite scenario of Portland). They have at least 5 more years of title contention. We say every year that the Utah Jazz will now be too old and every year they perform. Robinson has many more years in the tank, and my belief is that Eliot will make a come back, if not this year than in the next. They are not exactly a flash in the pan.
outlaw, Mutumbo is 34 now. He's a good defender and rebounder, but he's old and expensive. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
san antonio is old. robinson will probably retire in 2 years along with avery johnson (or by then they should) "loaded from 1 to 12"???? kersey, porter, kerr, elie, spencer, not spring chickens if you ask me. "he does not want to go to a losing rebuilding squad"?????the magic are not too bad this year and by next year they could have a lineup like this: pf:mo taylor/ bo outlaw sf:grant hill/ pat garrity c insert duncan)/ michael doleac sg:corey maggette/ tariq abdul-wahad pg:darrell armstrong
