    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some help with checking if a flash movie works. I've tried all kinds of flash forums, and only 1 person has responded. So I'm hoping the faithful on this board can help me out!

Clutch, mods, feel free to lock this if you don't want this in the bbs.

But I could really use some help. It's simple:

If you don't mind, and have about 30 seconds, please click this link to my player, and tell me:

    1. What version you are using
    2. Whether or not it actually plays the song.

    Link to Player

From what I've seen so far, it will only do one of two things: (1) Play the song, or (2) get stuck on "Loading...".

Thank you so much for the help!!

    IE - Flash Player 7,0,19,0 - didn't work
    Firefox - Flash Player 9,0,16,0 - didn't work

Edit: They do work on both if I use the >> button and pick a song and hit play. If I hit play and don't pick a song, it just sticks in loading.

Yeah, sometimes it will work, as well, if you try to click play, then stop, and then play again.

I just don't get it. It works on both of my computers at home, and on my computer at work.

And it's REALLY interesting that it didn't work for m_cable with 8,0,22,0 because that's the version I have. And it works on my computer. I just don't get it. :(

    I'll keep trying.

While you're at it, feel free to take a look at the site I'll be using in place of the first link (Jana's Music).

    Link to future site

    Thanks, again, people!

Cool looking site you got there. I've never seen that color scheme used before.

I have no idea what kind of player IE is using....and i'm not sure how to find out.

I clicked on the link, pressed the play button in the IE window and it's playing fine.

If it helps, I'm using IE 6.0.2900.2180

Earlier the page would automatically show what version you were using, but that spot isn't on there now.

But it's playing just fine for me now too.

Yeah, I was hoping I "fixed" the player, so I removed the check for the flash version, and was going to hit people up again to check it out.

So if it's working for you guys, then it works!!!

Thanks so much for the help!

It's funny how much ClutchFans can do for you!

    LOVE IT! :D

Yeah, last night it didn't work at all for me. Sorry I didn't post, but it looks like you fixed it well. How about a MUTE button that makes the slider move to the 0th position, or a place that says "volume"? ;) I didn't even know that was for volume.

Why did you leave the text field at the bottom? Not that it matters so much, but where the Flash Version used to be, now I can click in there and start typing text. Do you see it?

So who is Jana, your wife? Looks like she was standing on Texas near Main. From a fellow Web Designer: VERY VERY nice site, man. Very original and very legible. No one should complain about anything and Ms. Morris should be proud.

Hey, thanks so much for the compliment! I didn't think about the text box, but all I did was comment out the section for displaying the text, and forgot to remove the section for creating the textbox, so good catch!

And thanks for the advice. I can definitely add "Volume" to it, and also a mute button. Shouldn't take long at all!

And yes, Jana is my wife. One of these days, I might actually get around to creating a site for myself! Again, I really appreciate teh compliment. I'm a software developer, and I do web development on the side. Design is the hardest part for me, because I'm not that creative of a person, art/design wise!

    :)
