Hey guys, "No Layups" has a behind the scenes video of Yao & T-Mac (WINK WINK) And we talk about much more, on episode X; And remember "No gimmicks" on "No Layups" <object width="400" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2842717&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2842717&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="300"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://vimeo.com/">No Layups X: A Distrubance in the Force</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user484766">Chance McClain</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.
Haha. Great stuff as usual. How did you guys get that footage though??? (also, hate to be a downer, but i think you might be confusing "discourse" with "discord" though that's probably just a joke that went over my head)
Hey David, Have you guys had a chance yet to speak with Morey about all of this? That would be great to hear his thoughts.
I think David N. is overrating Landry in the low post. He still has a lot of improvement to make with his footwork both in the low post and when putting the ball on the floor when he gets it up high. It's like his lower body isn't in sync with his upper body and that leads to traveling calls or loss of ball control. I've seen spurts of better effort defensively but he still has a long way to go in that department as well. I agree that his mid-range shot looks better this season. In general, it looks like he put a lot of work in over the summer. Beyond that, good and entertaining stuff as usual.
good stuff but i dont recall anyone having beef with von wafer for not producing in the 4th. i think its more along the lines of, why werent any plays drawn up for von wafer to get more touches precisely because he was producing so well? the guy has been a beast and he ignored down the stretch against the lakers. i would've liked to see him at least touch the ball in one of those last 3 possessions. instead we ended up with another rafer floater, 2 bricked free throws, and a yao turnaround jumper for 2. von wafer needs to be rewarded with more touches. he was on fire and i was absolutely shocked that he didnt get any shots down the stretch. again, that's a criticism of the coaching staff and his teammates for not getting him the ball, not of von wafer himself.
David and that freaking gun to Raheels face is killing me!! What happened to the Rat? I tought it was a better representation of ___.
+1 Von Wafer was the man in that game and for some reason he was ignored on offense in the 4th quarter and that is on Rafer more than anyone else. He is supposed to be making sure the ball is distributed where it needs to go. Hopefully the team will learn its lesson because i really think this young healthy squad that played against the Lakers can go far in the playoffs with or without Tmac.
There is a difference between the accent of someone born in Cuba and accent of someone born in Mexico I have friends from both areas, as well as Puerto Rico and Chile.. all of which are Spanish speaking locales and have very distinctly separate accents. It would be like saying I have the same accent as someone with a Georgian accent because I am from the south.... that, to my ears mi amigo, was a south of the border born in Mexico accent Nuno had Yao doing.
Dude seriously! That gun scares the shizzznits out of me! Trying talking with that in your face! It's all in good fun but Nuno the people have spoken, no more gun in my face!
