Im going to go out on the limb and say that if houston can not find a suitable deal to ship mcgrady out. i have no doubt in my mind he will sign with the lakers when he becomes a free agent he has already said in the past he would like to play with kobe. and we all know he has never made it out of the first round, LA i think would gladly accept him because all he wants is a ring something LA has proven they can achieve. Flame me if you want but i think this will happen next season.
If I recall correctly, McGrady and Artest weren't good-friends with one another. And If also recall correctly, Lakers are usually the ones that screw other teams/players over, not the other way around.
Doubt we would ever buy him out, but LA would probably be a good fit for him. They need some firepower off the bench.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a small deal w/ a contender. Nothing like winning to make everybody happy. That being said........I also expect McGrady to be Houston's whipping boy for the next 3 years. Groupies I swear....
he hated playing with ron. if anything he'll sign with another texas team since his family wants to stay in houston and he can win with SA or DAL as much as anywhere else.
Actually that's the exact reason why along with the climate and the area. Not to mention he grew up there. I don't see why any contender would want him on their team, he either does not fit or they just would not want him. Orlando is going to be his closest ticket to a championship.
yeah he's more likely to go to the Magic because A)he wont want to ride the supertalent already established in LA B)he'll play with carter again and there's enough help there for him c)it's his home state and he's already played there before
I do remember him saying, "I'm at the point in my career where I just need a ring." Too bad there's no one to be traded from Orlando, I know he'd love it there.
What happened to players being competitive... it's weak that you have players following other players just to get championship rings. T-Mac used to be comppared to Kobe and vice versa. T-Mac running to L.A. is a weak move from a competitive aspect but hey we are talking about McGrady.
i wouldnt mind that VC for tmac trade that was SUPPOSED to happen ahm ahm haha i wouldnt mind lewis either
McGrady didn't have a problem playing with Artest. McGrady's ego did, now that he is going to be taking less money to win a title, I believe he'll have no problem just being a bench guy as long as the team wins.
