The Rocket brings the hammer and anvil. 8 shutout innings. Lidge slams it shut Stros by a touchdown Astros 7 Cards 0 DD
I really believe the Stros will do to the Cards what the Red Sox did to the Yankees last night. Astros - 8 Cards - 1 Beltran hits 2 HRs. Clemens goes 7 strong innings. Astros go to the World Series.
i hope the players are as confident as phil garner. garner must be extremely confident about todays game since he basically conceded yesterdays game by pitching his worst starter and taking out his second best hitter (berkman) in the middle of a tie game and putting in his worst relief pitcher. i'm not so confident.
Stros 8 Deadbird 3 Tavarez goes postal and kill Larussa at the post game conference while we go to Boston!
biggest game in franchise history. the elusive game 7 with our ace on the mound that we wanted so much in 1986. Astros Win!!!
Clemens goes 6 at the most giving up 3-4 runs before handing the ball to Roy for 2 and Lidge for the 9th to shut it down. Astros 6 Cards 4 Pugs
Yeap...pretty much what I was thinking...Well, minus the three grand slams by Roger and blanking the Cards on their home turf...But I LOVE the spirit!
haha, you just made me laugh. I'll say Astros 6 Cards 3 Roger gives up a couple early runs and then settles down.
Last year with the Yankees... Game 7 against the Red Sox in the ALCS... Clemens goes 3 innings and gives up 4 runs (3 earned)... ... Not this time. Astros 9, Cardinals 2 WP: Clemens, LP: Suppan, S: Lidge, MVP: Beltran
Three guys in an airplane, Craig Biggio, Russ Springer, and Dan Micelli. The engine begins to sputter and the pilot bails out with one parachute, leaving the three passengers with only one parachute. The three Astros look at each other and... The heck with it... shoot the darn plane down with a missle and we win game 7... go 'stros!
Clemens, then Oswalt, then Lidge, then World Series. Astros 6 Deadbirds 3 Gotta get to Suppan early and give Roger a lead to work with.
I was just thinking about this situation.. Roger is in such an odd situation... All his life he has most likely wanted the Astros to win it all.. just as we have... but amazingly enough.. now he actually has the power to send us to the world series.. that's gotta be an amazing feeling.. to control YOUR team going to the world series... true he has done it before.. but that was as a hired hand... now he is doing it for HIS team.. I might have gone overboard with the 3 grand slams... maybe just an inside the park hr
