For maintenance I think any good shop will do. For performance only shop I know is www.sgpracing.com.

Yes, Nissan dealers are a joke.

I added synthetic to my Z at the David McDavid on I-45 South- $39.99. You just gotta make friends with the service dept. and you're golden.

BTW- You might visit this forum and post your question there. Lots of Houston area Z owners with loads of information.

Seems like it should be pretty easy to change the oil yourself, is it not that easy on a 350Z?

wal-mart will put mobil-1 in your car for $30 bucks. Just bring your own filter because Fram filters are not the best.

Yup, Wal-Mart is the place to go most shops actually drive to Wal-Mart and BUY the oil from them and charge you a markup. I went to the new NTB in Pearland a while back and asked for Castrol, which they said would be an extra charge... I came back and they charged me 6 bucks each and even LEFT THE WAL-MART receipt in my car where it was only 3 bucks each.

Stop by autozone and get the filter you want and get the oil you want at Wal-Mart, no one can beat Wal-Mart's synthetic oil prices.

I bought 16 quarts of Motocraft syn-blend at Walmart on clearance for $1/quart. I buy filters for about $6 a pop. I take them to a local Mobil 1 oil change place and have them change the oil for $15. Their usual syn-blend oil change is something like $40+ and their synthetic is something like $55. Yikes. Unfortunately I'm out of the motor oil now. :(
