Nip/Tuck Ok, this is now my next show to pimp...I can't believe its already the 4th season and how do you top the Carver season... The promos look great and it'll be interesting to see how the season pans out...I for one am pumped...
I actually thought that the Carver reveal was absolutely horrible and I loves me some Nip/Tuck. I'm excited about the show going in a new direction. Well, more new than more Carver.
yea after all the build up . . .it did suck Rocket River still like the music in the scene though very . .. crazy
I was dissappointed as well in the Carver final show, but I absolutely love Nip/Tuck and I'm happy it is back again. Hopefully, they focus a lot more this season on the interactions and conflicts as they exist between Sean and Christian, because that always ends up being the best part(s) of any show. Separating them last season, even for a brief period, just plain sucked.
I'm looking forward to this as well. I love this show. Previews look good. Lots of guest stars. Brooke Sheilds, Larry Hagman, Mario Lopez!!!
Season 3 was awful. Troy being a big puss, lame story lines. And the coup de gras, the Carver being Costa, even though they said before the season began that we would know who the carver was from season 2. Costa appeared for 10 minutes during the entire 2nd season. Not exactly someone we "knew." Just a big cop-out that made very little sense. Ugh. Last season really sucked. I'll watch season 4, but I'm not expecting much.
I actually think season 4 will be better. We're back to the mindset that we have no idea what is going to happen and we don't just focus on one major storyline but actually have quite few stories to follow now. Everything else seemed to take a backseat to the carver last season.
Season one was great Ava made seaosn 2 awesome Season three was not that great. The whole man with no dick thing was just dumb.
Just put more Kimber, more T&A and Let Christian be a bad ass like Season One and I'm good... Season 3 was more theatrical and tried to be more of a pyschological thriller...I liked it, but definitely not as much as 1 and 2...
It looks like the gangsta leader who they changed his face to look like some murder at the end of season one will be a story line. My question is how does he get out of prision? That should be interesting... I agree with the earlier comment that they need to let Christian Troy go back to being a serious bada%^ !! Christian is the man!!!
SPOILERS Saw the premiere last night. Pretty good with one little caveat... If they try to turn Christian gay during this season, I will quit watching this show forever. Nothing against gay people, but there is no way in hell I could keep watching the show if that were to happen. I have no problem with them using Christian's loneliness and intimacy issues to show his confusion and difficulty...but if the end result is that he comes out of the closet, then I have no more use for this show. END SPOILERS Anyone else see it last night?
yea, i saw my first Nip/Tuck show last night. strange how i was turned on by the mother and daughter but then got turned off real quick by the gay angle. it was still a cool show though.
Christian starts the show with a bang and ends with a bang...Literally...Nice to show Brooke Shield the way I'd like to see her... The mother daughter thing was kinda hot...Weird, but hot...The gay thing threw me off, but the lonliness and such makes sense...Interesting to see how the sale plays into the whole season...Christian "butching" his place up was funny...The kid with the deformity was kinda sad... Great episode, has me wanting more...
Yeah, overall, the episode was good. Plenty of good lines. "Who has this man's balls." "Here you are, doctor." "Why am I not surprised?" "Christian, why is there a statue of a **** in the corner?"
What I hate is how they play things up and make it all uncomfortable now, maybe that's a good thing but now everything is laced with sexual tension between them. Even when you think back to before the psychologist brought it up and how Sean looks over to him during the opening operation and tells Christian he's lonely and for him to join him after Christian had finished his patient first.
Yeah, there has been a lot of that. Remember back when Sean first found out that Matt was his child? He ran into their practice and wailed on Christian for a little while, his parting words being, "I loved you the most." But until this episode, it was always about two best friends that were very close and had their lives inescapably entwined. But like you say, now with this homosexual seed planted, it makes all that interaction...akward. I don't know. In a way, I could see how Christian boning his shrink there at the end was the writers way of saying she didn't know crap and was like any of the other women that Christian porks. I hope that was the intent of that moment, because of the homo thing is strung out through the whole season, it will ruin it for me.
The thing that struck me though, besides wishing that I could do that to Brooke Shields and the awesomeness of seeing her that way, was that he was doing her from behind and it makes you think more about what she had told him about why he does it that way.
First off, I found the show borrring. To me, this show has steadily gone downhill since the first two seasons. As far as the homosexuality thing. I simply don't get it. I guess, personally, a shrink could try and say that to me, and I would blow it off immediately. You either like women or men in my book, and a seeded comment doesn't change that. To me, I love quite a few men. Some friends have been in my life for 20 years, and we do all kinds of stuff together. It doesn't mean I want to sleep with them.
Yeah, but Christian is kind of messed up. He was molested when he was a kid and raped by the Carver and he just generally has a boatload of sexual baggage that he deals with, so it doesn't seem unrealistic to me that a shrink could get him doubting his preferences by making a few suggestions. Oski, yeah I noticed the doggie position as well. And like I said, I really only hope that him boning Brooke Shields was indicative of what I said, but I think it much more likely they were just demonstrating that Christian has made no real progress in finding the intimate relationship he really wants. Does anyone else think that a big source of tension and conflict this season is going to come from the sale of their practice and whatever it is that old dude and his weird wife will demand of Sean and Christian? I don't like that these people are going to have power over McNamara/Troy now.
I think they are definitely leading up to a Christian homosexual storyline. I remember reading something about him and Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) having a scene in the shower. Hopefully its just some short lived storyline and not the entire focus of the season though.
