OK, we have a Gamecube and I've been experiencing a little annoying problem with it. Whenever I start dynasties on NBA Live or MLB 2004, I eventually get a "File Corrupt" message whenever I try to load the dynasty and I end up having to delete whatever I have saved. Anyone else ever have this problem? Is it simply a memory card issue? Thanks.
Has it happened repeatedly? If it has happened once then that is because you have turned off or rebooted your system while it was saving or loading. Do you make sure you allow it so save all the way before turning it off? If you are sure you are shuting the system off at the right time, then yes, I would assume it is a memory card problem. Try another card. It's happened to me a few times with Madden 2004, but I think it is because I wasn't careful when shutting off my system.
Sounds like a memory card issue. I love the cube, it is my favorite system. Check out Super Monkey balls 1 & 2 if you get chance. DD
Uprising, both times it has happened, I hadn't even turned off the system. I'd saved the game, exited my dynasty, then loaded it again before turning the system off. I'll try a new card.
Definitely try a new card. I had the same issue a few months ago. It kept losing the stuff I saved. I got a new card and have had no trouble
But then you have to deal with the stigma of belonging to a crazed cult of obsessed fanboys, which is far worse than a fried mem card.
is your memory card licenesed by nintendo? my cousin has a memory card that isnt made by nintendo, and it sometimes get jacked around.
Yep, definetly a memory card issue then. Well, atleast with the Game Cube you can buy 64MB cards for $19.99. Sucks paying the same for 8MB cards for my PS2. I hate Sony......
Though it doesn't matter when your average fanbase has the mentality of age 5. Jusst joking... I have all three systems and think they all have their positives. But until recently the 'strengths' of the XBOX were seriously overhyped. If current rumors hold true, though, MS will find itself behind Sony again in the next round of console releases. (No HD or backwards compatibility). As far as your problem, RM95, it is very likely the memory card. I have two of the Interact (who I never buy any other products by) 1019 block cards and they have both worked great for me.
Consoles are great, in that they are so easy to use and you don't have to install games BUT, the thing I hate about consoles are the prices of games. I have started buying my sports games on PC, since games like Madden 2004, NBA LIVE 2004 are only $19 compared to $50 on PS2, Xbox, GC...... Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo charge the game makers an extra fee for making the game on their system and the fee ends up being bumped unto us.
I dont have a game console( I know I was satisfied with my totally hooked up PS1 and Dreamcast) I want to get one soon. Will the prices be dropping? I am looking at either a PS2 or Xbox, but I love the no memory card thing, and the fact that I can put a 160 gig harddrive in it. What should I go wiht and why?
I would if I played more than one game other than the four big EA sports games. And that one game is Mario Kart, something I can't get on the other two.
