Don't have it yet, but definately going to get it. Those who have reviewed it say it lives up to the hype... and thats a lot of hype! The game is supposed to be a challenge (somewhat difficult) and is a good 20+ hours of gameplay... they don't make games like that anymore.... can't wait to get my hands on the game... I foresee my grades taking a dive.
for now it's only on the box. I don't think a PS2 could do graphics like that without putting an eye out with the jaggies.
Getting mine on Thursday, EBgames had a special back in November, trade in 4 games get this game for $10. They even let me trade in old sports games, so it was worth it. HAYJON02, this game will include all 3 versions that came out on NES.
i remember the part 2 on nes i played that thing forever and never beat it. got to the last guy though. i beat just about every other game i played on nes but not that one.
Ninja Gaiden 2 was always my least favorite of the series, which is odd because most people love that one the best by far. I was all about Ninja Gaiden 1 and 3, baby. Two of my favorite games ever made.
3 was pretty hard. They added some control variations that made it too hard. But man, back in the day, the cutscenes in Ninja Gaiden were top notch. All 3 are included on the new one? I wish I had an X-Box. I took the money I was going to use on one over Xmas break and bought a bunch of clothes and shoes instead. Crazy.
Oh, does anyone know why every character in Japanese video games is named Ryu? Ninja Gaiden, Breath of Fire, Street Fighter, etc. I know it means 'dragon' but still...
Just got it yesterday... it lives up to the hype and then some.. it's fun, and the music and graphics are amazing..
Will the graphics and music be "updated"(i.e. Super Mario All-Stars) or will they be exactly the same as their NES counterparts? Of course, the music was pretty badass in the originals, so I kinda hope they don't tamper with it.
When I saw the commercial, before the ending I thought it was going to be an upgrade of the old classic, Shinobi(sp)
Got my copy yesterday, Played it about an hour last nite, it is challenging but also fun to play. The biggest knock on it is the camera work, you have to get used to that but once you do it's a non-issue. It's an awesome game I highly recommend it.
Well I've got it and spent most of last night playing it. It's an awesome game. The graphics are smooth and sharp, Ryu's moves are tremendous, and it never slows down no matter what's going on. Be warned though, it's friggin' HARD. For instance, there's no "easy" difficulty. There's "normal" and "hard" (and supposedly an even harder difficulty to unlock). The bosses are for the most part VERY difficult, and there's no real pattern to their attacks. Plus, if you collect enough of the little colletible items, you can unlock emulators of all the other Ninja Gaidens! Still working on that though. Like the rest of the game, it's friggin' hard.
