    On ESPN radio they just said that Jerry West is trying to do everything possible in trying to land Adam Morrison. They said that discussions are under way involving Morrison and Gay being swapped. A Memphis 1st round pick for '07 may be involved. Memphis is said to have lost favor of Bobby Jackson and may be looking for a pass first point guard to go with damon stoudamire. They mentioned this possibility:

    Brevin Knight
    Adam Morrison

    for

    Rudy Gay
    Mike Miller or Hakim Warrick
    1st round

    looks like no one wants Rudy Gay except Charlotte, as MJ said he was hgh on the kid.

    I thought West considered Gay one of the top two players in the draft. I guess this means he think Morrison is number 1.

    Not surprising. West probably sees a bit of himself in Morrison.

    Ok, now that trade with Memphis just got to a really stupid level, if they're able to get Morrison because we traded them Gay then we might as well just give up on the Rocket's management.

    If that's the deal, we don't have anyone with the value of Miller, or the young potential of Warrick that Memphis could offer.

    Exactly, we have nothing that equals Mike Miller or a young player like Warrick. Plus why would the rockets trade for Morrison with TMAC at the 3, i have no intrerest in Morrison anyway. Plus id hate to give up a 2007 1st round pick becuase it will be such a deep draft.

    Well two things come to mind in speculation:

    - the Rockets could have entertained these kinds of offers if they had waited. It's hard to understand if the trade had to be done then and there.

    - Charlotte trading Brevin Knight has more substance to it. The article I read mentioned them trying to unload Ely as well. After the Rockets get James, maybe they can attempt an Alston for Ely trade.

    That seem like a bogus trade proposal, since Memphis I do not believe can shop around another teams player - and until the trade with us goes down on July 12, Rudy Gay is officially still a Rocket. I could be wrong, but from my understanding that is how it works...

    The frustating thing with hearing this is if the Bobcats would have just picked
    Rudy Gay as we supposed they would, Morrison, or Foye, or even Brandon Roy
    would have fallen to the Rockets.

    Patience is apparently something the Rockets' brass can't be accused of.

    If it goes through, then it will only make the trade look that much worse, there will be a full-scale revolt in Rockets land, the people will rise.

    I dont understand why u guys are b****ing about this, its not like we can make this trade, we dont have any1 we would trade that is compared to Mike Miller or Warrick.

    I don't see why everyone is getting upset. If true, Gay's value was even less than we had originally thought, with Mike freaking Miller being the difference between him and Morrison. We have noone near the caliber of Mike Miller to offer in trade.

    For some reason I think this is complete BS though.
