Went to the NIN show last weekend thanks to a member on this forum - thanks for the ticket! Great show - the lighting effects were very impressive ('Only' was particularly cool). THANK YOU!!! I've been to three nin shows in Houston (including the private performance at nubers) with my current life status (kids, saving money, etc.) it's much more difficult for me to go to a concert any more.
I almost started a Nails thread after the show but I figured there wouldn't be much interest here. I went to the show and was dead center about 10 feet away from Trent through the whole thing. This was my 10th time to see them, and I felt it was the most impressive performance next to the first time I saw them on the Fragility tour. They're coming to San Antonio on Oct 23rd as well for anyone interested. I'm planning to make the trip up there for the weekend.
So..... is there a mosh pit nowadays? I remember, years ago, that you couldn't get anywhere near the stage and enjoy the music because of the huge pit of people slamming themselves against each other. Is that dead now?
Stayed in the middle/back on the floor but looked like people were pretty much all the way up to the stage.
The best part about going to a Nine Inch Nails concert is watching Nine Inch Nails fans dance (NIN fans dancing... 'nuff said). The worst part is when you have a total Trent fanboy (yes, boy) gabbing on and on about how he listens to Ghosts every morning when he wakes up and yelling Trent's name while blowing a load (well, he might as well have). But yeah, the lighting was pretty cool, too. Next up... Spiritualized!
i just got to experience my first NIN show at Lollapalooza. I had to choose between NIN and Kanye West. a child of the 90's, I went with NIN and was not disappointed
Smart choice. The only way I'd ever choose Kanye is if Daft Punk happened to be on stage with him again and they muted Kanye's mic.
There's not really huge pits at show these days, but it is still rougher the closer you are to the stage. You have to constantly watch out for fatties trying to crowd surf which can get pretty annoying.
just wanted to bump this and share with my fellow NIN fans that I just scored pre-sale tix to the show at Planet Hollywood in Vegas on Dec 13th! Can't f'ing wait! It's the final show of the North American leg of the tour. Anybody else from here making the trip?
