If you haven't caught the early marketing ploy by Trent, I suggest you google it. Very cool way to gain interest and a good story line. link
Yeah I've been following it, its pretty bizarre. I'm excited about the new album. I've heard 4 tracks off of it and they are certainly different, but it is a concept album after all. I'm gonna pick up the DVD this weekend, but I watched some of it last night on ch 101 (direcTV) and it got me super excited. I was dancing around the living room like a madman but decided to stop when I broke a wine glass.
Wow! I'm a NIN fan and I had no idea all that stuff was going on! It's brilliant on two levels: 1) fantastic marketing scheme to build interest in forthcoming album 2) contributes to the feel of the album. It reminds me of Rush's 2112. super cool
The Beside You In Time Blu-Ray is amazing - awesome A/V quality. The HD-DVD is supposed to be identical except for a missing real-time camera angle feature on a couple tracks.
Wow, good stuff. I like NIN, but I am much more a fan of Reznor's production skills. The marketing is a great extension of the upcoming album, and further shows what a creative force Reznor is. Also, I thought Reznor had his major recording studio in New Orleans. Does anyone know if it survived Katrina and if he still owns it? Where does he live, btw?
my friend saw him at half price books in austin a couple weeks ago. he lost a bunch of rare allister crowley books/manuscripts in katrina and is searching book stores looking to replace them. he had found stuff there before so came back in while he was in town.
Thanks. Funny enough I saw this thread bumped and spent a few seconds looking this up to no avail. Man, if I could just get one day to spend in his studio... (and before anyone even goes there, not like that )
