Is he the odd man out in Denver? What is the word on him? Is he like 'THE HUMAN VICTORY CIGAR' ? [Milicek] or is he better Is he a possible long term solution at PF for the rockets or just another project for denver? He was draft 5th overall . . and wonder what was the word on him Rocket River
Good questions. I do wonder if he's a legit bust though. New Jersey didn't even want him and they could have had him as a throw-in to the Martin deal.
Denver has 150+ million invested in Camby, KMart, Nene, Melo. He can't be a big part of their future plans.
I think he's pretty legit by now as a bust. Didn't the Rox scouts & Rudy love him? Thank god for that lotto bounce.
I don't see how anyone can call a kid that only turned 21 a few months ago a bust. I'd take him off of their hands in a heart beat if the price was right.
That's life in the NBA these days; drafted younger, busted younger. hell it's not that big of a deal, each NBA draft only produces so many stars, there are loads of top 10 overall picks who do nothing in the NBA.
He may be end up being a bust, but there's always a place for 7 footers with a good jumper in the NBA. I still think that he's got a decent upside, and Denver shouldn't give up on him yet. The problem is that he hasn't developed because he doesn't get enough minutes. This is why the NBA should have a minor league, and, no, the NBDL "Tierre Brown MVP" doesn't count.
How do you play Tskitisgvcjhsdbshdfvilli, let him take bad shots, play 0 defense, and learn the NBA nuances without jeopardizing your playoff team. If he doesn't play, no team will trade for him and you lose a potentially very gifted player with huge upside. Denver’s conundrum.
he has got to be worth a Defensive stopper and a Sharp Shooter [Adrian and Piak] I mean . . he can sit on our bench and we could wait and see Rocket River
The guys been around for a few years; upside alone doesn't cut it anymore. There should be a moratorium on using "upside" to describe players after they're drafted. I think they'll just try to salavage a 2nd rounder out of him or just part ways when his contract expires. The fact that Rod Thorn took a pass on him should mean something to people, especially around here, no?
Agreed. That's why drafting a truck load of young and undeveloped boys for a game of men and put them at the end of the bench is bad for the league and bad for the kids.
2 to be exact. I saw him play some in his rookie season and he was all over the place. However, you could tell he had some natural ability. Somone will take a chance on him and he could turn out to be a good player. He's younger than Boki and will probably be better in the long-term.
lets start taking bets, who will be the better player in the end? Kwame? Darko? Skita? and let's just throw Boki in there because he has a 'K' too
