Ya. Obviously not all small businesses but I would say that a large chunk of it compromises the type of people you saw in the MAGA Boat Massacre of 2020. Basically a bunch of offspring of those boomers who got those cheap mortgages like candy handed out in mass to any white blue collar family right after WW2 where those assets quadrupled in value even after accounting for inflation creating significant amount of capital for a bunch of uneducated narcissists to believe they are self made because they started a small business and then turn around and explain how the rest of society is lazy even though a large chunk of society are born into families of renters who live pay check to pay check not leaving any amount of capital to their offspring for allowing in investment opportunities

A lot of the "small business" culture is toxic in America for that reason.

At the end of the day that's just what a lot of underprivileged minority groups also want. The chance to get cheap property handed to them and have it quadruple in value so they can allow even their dumb children to be successful by starting small businesses just like those white families right after ww2. That's all they want.

I don’t find small business to be toxic to America I have a different opinion than that and that’s fine we are all entitled to our opinions in fact I find it quite the opposite where someone can do something whether it’s cutting hair cutting lawns and create a business where you’re making tens of thousands of dollars per month is some thing that can happen regardless of race or skin color as an example it’s based on making the right choices

I didn't say all. And if you are in that bubble you might not be able to see it yourself. But yes a lot of small business American culture is based in narcissism and being self made when most of the time they aren't especially due to that phenomenon I referred to.

And that's exactly what poor minority groups wish could happen to them. Having assets like that handed to them that greatly increase in value through no hard work where they can give even their dumb kids and opportunity by giving them some capital to start with in life.

Obviously business owners exist that started from nothing. There parents never owned property. They loved paycheck to paycheck their entire childhood and somehow made it and created a business. But that isn't the case with most small business owners. You know that. Most come from families that already owned property.

Well due to the situation of redlining right after WW2, some of this unfortunately has to do with skin color. It's why today significantly more white families are home owners compared to black families. This obviously creates a situation where one race in this country has an advantage in creating said small business.

Phil Knight states he's more conservative than Nike and is chairman emeritus so not an active executive. He also initially backed the independent candidate Johnson who split off from the Democrats but is more liberal than the Republican. It sounds like he switched to Drazan because he doesn't feel the indepent can win.

Phil Knight on Backing Anti-Abortion Republican Candidate for Oregon Governor: 'I’m More Conservative Than Nike'

Phil Knight has chosen to back the Republican candidate in the tight Oregon governor race, Christine Drazan, who has also been outspoken about her anti-abortion views.

According to The New York Times, he recently spoke about his decision to support her, despite Nike, which he co-founded, being a liberal-leaning company. When asked if being a financial donor for a politician who is anti-abortion goes against Nike’s more progressive image, Knight—who rarely talks to reporters—said, “Nike has good leadership. They make choices, whatever they want, but I think I’m more conservative than Nike.”

He currently serves as the chairman emeritus of Nike’s board and doesn’t have a hand in the company’s day-to-day activities.

A Democrat hasn’t lost the state’s gubernatorial election in 40 years, but this current race is a close one between Drazan, independent candidate Betsy Johnson, and Democrat candidate Tina Kotek. Oregon is a state known for being a haven for progressive views rather than candidates who promote anti-abortion.

Knight’s money might change that, though. While he initially backed Johnson with a $3.75 million contribution, he shifted to Drazan’s side this month by donating $1 million. Knight is Oregon’s richest man and has become the biggest donor to Johnson and Drazan’s respective coffers. In the interview, he said he hopped on board Drazan’s campaign because she couldn’t “get enough undecided voters to make up the difference” between Drazan and Kotek.

It seems, above all, that he’s against Kotek, saying in the interview that he’s “an anti-Tina person.” He has also never spoken to Drazan.

“One of the political cartoons after our legislative session had a person snorting cocaine out of a mountain of white,” Knight said. “It said, ‘Which of these is illegal in Oregon?’ And the answer was the plastic straw.”

God I'm still confused about these contributions.

I thought there was a limit to individual contributions. How the hell does he contribute millions of dollars to a politician campaign?

If that's legal it again shows how corrupt at its core this country is.
