I have noticed that these bands get alot of hatred around here While I'm not fan of either. . I cannot say I hate them either What is it about them that just makes people dislike them so much? The Lyrics? Lyrically I don't see anything too too ridiculous or out of the ordinary The Look? The Music? I'm no musician so I cannot say if they just playing simple chords or something complicated. It sounds like it sounds.. . if you like the sound . . does the complexity matter? Is it the Popularity of the groups? Does it Irk you that they get credit as being good while you favorite group is not getting their proper respect? I'm just curious . . .cause You cannot put their names anywhere without someone going BLECH! Rocket River
I like Creed's "One". Other than that, I don't care for either. Nickleback's songs sound very gimmicky.
I like a number of Creed songs. I like Nickleback's heavier stuff (Side of a Bullet etc). I think most people just feel they are too corporate or popular. The stuff I like from them have decent grooves and are sung with some attitude. There are other bands out there today that are a heck of a lot more plastic sounding to me than Creed or Nickleback.
because people jump on the bandwagon when its "cool" to hate a band. kind like how a lot of rich kids hate bush when they probably got more tax cuts from him then say clinton. its the "cool" thing to do.
No. So many people hate both bands that it really isn't cool to hate them. They just suck. They're unoriginal and derivitive. Nickelback is worse because apparently they're really good musicians but have admitted to dumbing down their songs for sales. $$$$$$$
Bingo when you have talent then use it to the max... they have enough money they should do music for the sake of music not stupid songs that get old fast and keep playing over and over again on the radio to the point where i feel numb (or change the station)
Never had a problem with Nickelback. Most of their songs kick ass. If everyone would quit whining that all songs need to be 100% original complete with 100% original beats and lyrics, maybe some of you could actually .... ENJOY... music.
Creed because the lead singer is a douche, there is enough evidence out there to that fact. Nickleback, while their music wasn't awful when it first came out, has been extremely repetitive. All their music sounds follows the same formula. It also helps if the specific fans of these groups happen to be douches.
Nickelback's songs(at least the ones I've heard) sound unnatural, and the lead singer sounds like he has a cockroach in his throat. I like Creed
Once a band goes past playing locally and looks to push their music in search of a record deal, 8 - 9 out of 10 times its all about image, SALES, and POPULARITY. People bash Creed for the lead singer Scott Stapp being such a douchebag. His whole way of being irked some people, in a Fred Durst type of way. He tried to show he's so spirited and religious, but it just came across as contrived and showy (outstretched arms in a jesus-like pose on stage while performing can do that). Even in rock music a huge ego can lose appeal. Nickelback & also Creed, their music was and is WAY overplayed. So part of it was media setting them up to be knocked back down hard
actually, didn't really know about his whole religion thing, i was referring to all his DUIs and assaults. The religion thing puts his "holier than thou" attitude into some perspective, though.
