    Nice article

The Houston Rockets made a terrific move by signing Stromile Swift. He's as athletic as anyone at the power forward spot (ok, not Amare, but anyone else). With the Memphis Grizzlies running a bizarre 10-man rotation the past couple seasons (where no player averaged more than 32 minutes a game but 11 guys averaged over 12 minutes a game in 2004-05), Swift has only gotten around 20 minutes per contest. His per-40-minute numbers were roughly 19 points and 9 boards a game. Plus, he's the perfect complement to Yao inside. The Rockets have desperately needed an athletic bigman to block shots and rebound next to Yao, and Swift will give them exactly that. On top of that, the Rockets snagged him for five years and $30 million-exactly what the Knicks paid for Jerome James. I'll bet anything Swift has a more productive five seasons than James. Tremendous move for Houston.

Finally media is showing some respect to Rox

Not quite Simmons-level rips on Isiah, but quality ones non the less. I have to wonder, is David Stern paying NY to keep Isiah on as GM so writers will have a go-to punchline?

Ripping on Zeke is like booing at the special olympics. He's trying his best here, people. Let him have fun and encourage him.

I actually think that Swift is just as athletic or even slightly more athletic than Amare. I give Swift the edge in quickness and jumping ability whereas Amare is much stronger and more aggressive.

With Swift's slight build, he'll never be a great lowpost defender. But if JVG helps him work hard on his positioning and footwork, he can at least hold his own against the other PFs in the league.

I remember when people in the media used to praise Zeke for the job he did with the raptors the first three years or so....drafting Damon Stoudamire, Marcus Camby, and Tracy McGrady......or at least that's what i remember back when i was 12

Has anyone metioned D Stoudamire's meeting today ? Has he come and gone ? Maybe a little early for news. I would luv to see that happen...I love the guard glut. I feel that this is gonna give us the pieces to trade 2 or 3 for what we really want, plus, another throw in I guess. and I am sure, as afan can be anyway, the roxs are going to put Head in the rotation, certainly not to the minor leagues.
