Any Nick Cave fans here? I recently grabbed a couple of his songs from Grokster. "Red Right Hand" is running round my brain for days now. "He's a ghost, he's a god, he's a man, he's a guru, you're one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan." Other than his greatest hits, any other songs I should check out?
I saw them at Lollapalooza back in the day, and they were honestly one of the worst bands i'd ever seen in concert. Obviously, just one person's opinion, though. I do like "red right hand."
"Where the Wild Roses Grow" is the name of the song. His only song that got any kind of radio play. The same year that song came out he was voted "Male artist of the Year" at the MTV awards. He politely answered "Thank You...but no thanks, I would rather not be in any competition when it comes to art"
I had the album Henry's Song or something along those lines. It was a long time ago, and I lost the tape. I loved it though.
yeah, i guess i like that muzak alright. Not my fave, but not the worst I've heard. Red Right Hand is pretty good.
Bobster, another great Aussie artist, his music is sensational. any of his cds are worth checking out ther is a Best of called Best of Nick Cave and the bad Seeds which is great collection and also has a bonus live disc with it. he has been around for agees so there are heaps of albums, so maybe the best of is a great place to start you are correct though Red Right Hand is very catchy!! Smeg
He is rather big in the UK (where he made a name for himself) and also Europe and most definitely DownUnder, but i suppose none of that counts unless you have commercial success in the home of crappy commercial music USA
