Nice move of signing Pike! But what alarms me is that what would happen now to our defensive strategy? We need someone who hustles a lot...Do you think guys that there are still moves needed to be done whether trades or another free agent signing? I'm hoping to add 1 more guy (hmmm....stephen jax?) :)

The question I'm asking myself is do we have enough money to land another worthy FA?
I would lean towards a trade...

One of our biggest weaknesses last season was our scoring. Pike will help us in that department, but if we lose Posey we will be losing out on defense. Im hoping having JVG he can make up for it by teaching our players great team defense which is what he is a master at, and that was something Rudy could not give us. We'll see.

I'm wondering if Badiane is going to make the team to give us a hustler.

Hey, I want that BAD MAN on the team!! Don't ship overseas so he can play 4 some weak euro team! I think he needs 2 get schooled by the best the NBA has 2 offer!;) I kno, I understand about the possible lack of playn' time.......but I don't give a....(please fill in the blank;) ) I like his hustle & Scrappiness on the court, along wit his speed.

We still need to deal. We need to get solid at the F positions. Trade Rice for Al Harrinton or Jonathan Bender and a contract.

I doubt the Rockets sign anyone else for more than the veteran minimum. I would still like to bring in another point guard, allowing Pike and Mobley to get 5-10 mins a game at small forward when we go small.
Obviously Ollie was a nice choice but he is gone. Armstrong would be nice but he will get more than the league minimum. Maybe the Knicks will buy out charlie Ward and VanGundy could talk him into playing here for the minimum. Mark Jackson is another possibility, but his defense leaves alot to be desired. I know I dont like what Norris brings.
At small forward I guess we are sticking with Rice and Nachbar, with Pike and Mobley getting minutes if we go with a 3 guard rotation. I have to wonder if the Rockets would have let Morris go if they knew they were going to lose Posey.
At power forward we are weak, and will be as long as Mo Taylor is counted on, and Eddie Griffin is a mental midget. Maybe Eddie will mature, it is getting to a point where he needs to meet his promise or be written off as a disapointment.
We are set at center with Ming and Cato.
