Did anyone catch that interview that Bill & Calvin did with Danforth during the postgame show?

    For those that missed it...

I have even more faith in Rudy's coaching abilities after this interview. Bill & Calvin were discussing with Langhi about how tought it must have been to sit during this entire season. Langhi replied that it was very frustrating, and it's a big difference from playing heavy minutes in Vanderbilt to not even playing scrub minutes in Houston. But he said that the difference was Rudy T. He even specifically said something like "I wouldn't be here without Rudy's help." Though Rudy wasn't giving him minutes, he talked with him frequently, kept him on the positive side, and assured him that his time would come, and that's prolly what kept Dan going.

When asked the biggest change from playing college ball & NBA ball, Langhi replied that everyone is much bigger. Calvin replied "Imagine how I felt when I came into the league!!"

Bill & Calvin were also kind of reassuring Langhi about his future. To sum it up, they pretty much said that you've paid your dues, and you will have a much greater role next year, not to mention the remainder of the season.

Another funny moment... at the end of the interview Calvin had some advice for Danforth... "SHOOT MORE!!" Langhi replied "Hey I only got the ball 4 times! I shot it 3 of them!" Calvin replied "That means you still owe me 1 shot!"

Good interview... pretty much confirmed Oielpere's report that Langhi will be around next year at a greater role.

Wouldn't it be great if Langhi became next year's Austin Croshere? Suck one year, then BAM! explode the next. A seven-footer at the 3 who can shoot, dribble, pass. I hope it comes together for him. I saw him at the Phoenix game (I was down on the floor, about 6 pm) and he and Bullard were shooting. Langhi's smooth. Can't wait til he gets his shot.

Do you think the Rockets may draft a SF with maybe their 22 or 23 pick?

I think that the Rockets will draft either a PF or a Center with their 1st pick!!

Man if that is the case, you know Langhi will be getting his minutes!!

I was at the Spurs game. It is true Langi was not missing anything. Perhaps Langi is the prime example for the Rockets to begin drafting high school talent and develp it inside the organization. One project at a time.

Remember the year that the Rockets traded for francis, everyone was in panic that the Rockets did not have a shooting guard. Then the Rockets signed Anderson. But all along the Rockets had Mobley who could have done the job.

So, maybe the Rockets biggest deficit won't be SF as everyone is saying. It is going to be Center. Face it, if Hakeem could stay healty for an entire season, Center would be a lock but Hakeem won't stay healthy an entire season. He is like Barkley was at the end of his career, you don't know what game he is going down, but you know he'll be down for 10 to 20 games during any point in the season!!!

It's strange that he hasn't shown any improved body mass.

Langhi should spend the summer (independently) working on building muscle mass. I hate to see him get pushed around on the court...by his own team-mates!

You can't really see it, but I'm sure that he has been working on it. I remember talking with a Rockets' ballboy, and he said that Langhi was on some workout program. Plus, what else has he been doing this entire year anyway?

what body mass are we looking for. Some guys are just lean. Did you see Nomar on SI. Hershiser was supposed extremely solid, too. There are ways to leverage yourself over mass if you have superior strength...just ask the marshal arts dudes.

SFs are lean and fast, primarily, no? What he loses in mass hopefully he gains in obviously hops and being 7' tall like oeilpere says.

Don't forget that he's invisible when turned sideways. A big plus in my book.
