that wasn't a dirty look. TD's look was more of a "come on now, whatever makes you happy, we are trying to win rings" look.

It breaks my heart to see something truly heinous such as this happen to a benevolent team like the Spurs.

if poppa got a sick feeling every time he played against luifa, knowing that long beautiful hair was taken from him, imagine how he feels about batum.

I would too. Triple doubles do not come around every night for NBA players.

So...did they count those 3 assists where all Batum did was pass to Aldridge?

I mean on one of those LA pumpfakes, makes a move to get open and drains the shot.

On another he just makes a turnaround post jumper...All Batum did was successfully pass to him...NBA real generous with what they consider a assist.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I watched the video. A little home cooking from the Portland scorekeepers.

Isn't that what's counted as an assist? The player being passed to just has to make the shot, right? Or is there a limited amount of steps he has to take, in order for the AST to count?

A player is typically credited with an assist if his pass leads directly to a basket. In the past, no assists were credited if a player took even one dribble before shooting. But scorekeepers seem to have relaxed their stance on this issue in recent years, awarding assists for baskets scored after one pass and one dribble.

I still hope we can get Aldridge, one of the few players I am willing to give up Asik for.

“Why would I be mad at that?” Popovich said. “He’s a good kid. I don’t care.”

Don't you mean since the 90s?? If anything they've made it a little harder since then (some cities stat keepers were more lenient than others)...
