did you post this because his name is Satan?

MIROSLAV SATAN has been in the league since 95-96 season though so this is nothing new

there's got to be a "satan plays ice hockey" and "hell freezes over" joke here somewhere.

Just FYI it is pronounced Shu-tan kinda rhyming with slut-man. But I still say Satan when I se it.

    It's actually pronounced Sha-tan. Not Shu-tan.

    Miro-schlav Sha-tan.

He's very exciting to watch, I always pick him to be on a line with Patrick Elias (Eli-ash) in NHL games.

Well if you want to get technical yours is incorrect also. the NHL Pronunciation guide has it at:
Miroslav (Mee - row - slOFF) Satan (ShAH - tan)

Explain to me the literal difference between "ShaH-tan" and "Sha-tan".

I may not have the excact linguistic thingy down, but the pronunciational guide offered by my post is correct. Yours isn't.

I mean the first time was funny, back then. And Waaaaaaaay back then.

There was a guy with the last name Heinz and his number was 57. I think he may have played for Buffalo also.

Only if in the pronunciation of his name the first a makes the same sound as the a in hat. But even so, I found this link which was prepared by the NHL Broadcasters Association and reprinted by USA Today, which shows this:
    SATAN, Miroslav shuh TAN

Which was what I was originally going for but forgot the h after the u.
