Yates getting LOTS of love. Video shows where they would draft the QB's if they had a draft day do-over. http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/09000d5d82507818/Draft-do-over More NFL Network Love for Yates. This time from Steve Mariucci. http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d82507314/Mooch-talks-hot-topics
I love and support TJ and all, but who the heck starts an unproven rookie QB vs the Bengals D during playoff time? Either Siciliano is more of a Texans fan than I'll ever be or his fantasy team really stinks.
Maybe he drafted Matt Shaub? It's a struggle finding a decent qb when your s goes down. Most people stash two qb's on their roster.
I actually have 3 right now. LOL. Vick...meh...Big Ben.....and Matt Ryan Somebody dropped Ryan....thank god. Saved my season, and made the playoffs.
Yeah he's looking like a bust. I was viciously unimpressed with Locker when we played the BESFs as well, but I gather he's done some things better since then.
He is.. but in his defense, he does not have enough playmakers around him.. especially at the WR position.
I have no idea what they were thinking, only thing I can think of was they must have had a lot of people on a bye....and were hoping no one would notice lol.
He still looks like he's gonna curl up into fetal position every time there's pressure around the pocket
As much as I've liked what I've seen from Yates, I don't think I've seen enough to put him ahead of Dalton like the second guy did. I don't know if I'd put him over Locker, either, who we also haven't seen much of (but did pretty good last Sunday). Ahead of Gabbert and Ponder for sure, though.
I've always been high on Yates. Since day 1. Always low Gabbert. Didn't like Ponder, but I have to say, I think he can become a really good QB. Ponder has some tools. I also though that Newton would be a bust BTW.
I love Yates and all, but I wonder how he'll do in a conventional offense. In the past game, most of his completions came either via play action or 2-minute drill. He has been much less effective just dropping back and pass. While he may know Kubiak's offense due to his UNC background, it doesn't exactly help with any team in general. While time may tell whether he eventually becomes Matt Cassell or Tom Brady(most likely somewhere in between), I think he should be at least worth a 2nd or 3rd rounder in any redraft.
