I have decided to go ahead and open up a Week 3 thread because of the ongoing discussion in the Week 2 thread about Vick.

    1. The big news so far this week: Vick gets another start at quarterback and presumably the rest of the season if he plays well.

    2. Cowboys at Texans in arguably the biggest game of the week. I am going to be a huge Texans fan this week and and hoping for a Texas-size blowout of Dallas. GO HOUSTON!!!

    3. Packers at Bears in another big game look to take an extra step on everybody in that division.

    4. Can some 2-0 teams keep their winning going (Miami, Tampa Bay, etc.)

It will be interesting to see how the Eagles treat Vick if he starts struggling.

Also, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that Demarcus Ware may in fact rip out Matt Schaub's still beating heart and eat it on Sunday.

    Thanks a lot, Duane.

I don't think the Texans beat down of the Boys is going to be the most important game of the week.

    • I know people are ready to write off the Bucs but the Steelers have no shot with Batch at QB. The guy has been a perenial back-up since bringing Barry Sanders to tears and retirement with his awsome exhibition of suck.

    That is all.

    Split personality week for me...

My Cowboys NEED a win to salvage the season...

    And

I'd love for my Texans to go 3-0.

I am intrigued by that NYJ/Miami game, curious to see how Marshall does without Revis in the lineup. I also think the Sanchise will revert back to his crappy self versus a tough Miami "D". Also curious about VY vs the Giants and how he react to the benching.

I am thinking KK boy will come in for Dog boy after Dog boy gets injured... again... only played in 16 games ONE year, his last at ATL. He will be injured again and miss more games this season. Maybe it might NOT be this week...
You know what? Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so I thank you. Identity theft is not a joke, VooDoo!!!!. [looks at the camera] Dwight. The Office.

FAIL, though. SwoLy would never wish for the Dallas team to win... especially if playing the TEXANS... @ Reliant, even!

The pack is going to march all over the bears, IMO.

If it's close, Dallas will probably win. If Houston gets ahead early, Dallas will fold like a pack of cards.

I say we go for Miami, as the losses add up for the Jets that should lead to one hell of a meltdown. Jets defense still looks strong but that offense, especially QB, should be their downfall.

I wanted to find out the standings through week 2, and I started typing "NFL" in the Google search field, pressed a space, and I got these here suggestions:

Don't you guys think it's unfair to have ANY ONE TEAM in the default "suggested" NFL sites? :(

    F* the Cowgirls, BTW.

    Differentiating factor:

    Pack: Good.
    Cows: Bad.

Because nearly giving away a big lead to the Eagles and destroying the Bill = Good?

Yep, and the Pack hasn't looked too good...overrated IMO. Yeah they blew out the Bills last week but its the Bills for god's sake, i heard one sportscaster refer to them as worse then the 0-16 Lions. The Packers looked horrible against a mediocre Philadelphia team; I thought they'd be much better overall coming into the season. Bears offense is starting to click and their defense looked solid for 2nd straight week. I think it'll be a good game.

Houstonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn will take the cowgirls and the cowgirls will have more internal chemistry issues and start falling apart.

Def interested in seeing if Sanchez can keep up what he put up last week against MIA; MIA defense is looking better.

Giants vs. Titans will be a good chance to see the VY saga develop as well as see if Eli can come back after a crap performance.

I also wanna see Wash. v. STL and see if McNabb and the Redskins continue to build on the success and how Bradford's development is going.

Just read that Jay Ratliff will miss some practice time this week as his grandparents died in a Georgia house fire. Apparently, his grandmother tried to go back in and save her husband who was a double amputee.

Now, I may not like the Dallas Cowboys but I certainly know where to draw the line. I don't wish this type of tragedy on anybody regardless of who they are and hopefully the team will help Ratliff get through this ordeal. Thoughts are with him and his family.

That's all I'm saying, I think it'll be a good game but to just say the fudge packers are going to roll them is a tad much.

Your key to the Steelers losing has me a bit confused.

Steelers are 2-0 while being 31st in passing (Buffalol robs them of being worst). Batch or Leftwich starting is hardly going to be a major drop off in production. :p

I've been a Cowboy fan since 1963, but that 'Super Bowl in Dallas' crap has become unbearable, they haven't won jack in 14 years. I hope the Texans beat the crap out of them.

I agree, their offense has been CRAPPY at best but the defense has been INCREDIBLE. TB has beating a horrible Cleveland team and what looks to be an pretty bad Panther team. I think it will be low scoring but that "D" will cause Freeman to throws some picks and put the offense in good Field Position.

Philly vs Jax - Hopefully, vick has a monster game.

Tenn vs NY giants - although the giants got steam rolled on MOnday, they've got home field. i think they'll bounce back strong.

Ind vs Den - Indy will take care of business. I don't see Denver putting up much of a fight.

Dal vs Houston - Texans are going 3-0.
