I hate this Thursday game crap. What the hell is wrong with Pittsburgh?? From 6-2 to 6-7? With losses to KC, Oak, and now Cleveland? They are making the Texans' losing streak look tame by comparison. Other games to watch: DEN @ IND MIA @ JAC CIN @ MIN SD @ DAL NYG @ PHI
I cheered for the loss last night. Steelers aren't winning the Super Bowl without Smith and Polamalu. Might as well go for a better draft pick! (not too low though~cost is too high.) My hypothesis on the team's struggle: football is largely mental/confidance. They lost several close games to stupid mistakes (special teams). That damaged their confidence, and at this point it is completely shattered. Freefall. Glorious. (I'd be tearing my hair out, but it is hard to get upset after winning 2 recent Super Bowls.) P.S. bruce arians.
If Polamalu comes back healthy next year, and the Steelers end up a top seed, that man deserves league MVP. He means everything to that team.
polamalu being out certainly hurts but it is the lack of a run game that hurts the most. same goes for the texans. brett favre has been minnesota's best offensive player and that seems to be catching up to them. they have adrian peterson on their team, remember? you have to be able to run the ball or you will not win at this point in the season.
I feel like nobody is talking about the Colts potentially going undefeated. Two years ago when the Pats won 5 to start the season people were already talking.
It looks very likely the Colts will go 16-0. The Saints have a pretty good shot at it, too. I wouldn't be shocked to see them both go undefeated... their remaining schedules are mostly cake.
Arizona exposed one of the biggest chinks in Minnesota's armor by leaving Tim Hightower in pass protection to use Jared Allen's aggressive nature against him. Favre looked human again for once. I still think New Orleans and Indianapolis don't have nearly the team that the 07 Patriots had, but they have shown considerable clutch abilities quite a few times now, and that is what counts.
it'll surprise me. it's hard not to let up a little and i think they will probably both lose at some point. the patriots run was remarkable in it's focus and made the giant's upset all the more awesome.
colts are looking good, no doubt. but will they rest players, lose a little intensity while awaiting the playoffs?
Can they rest players? Their entire team is hurt as it is. Maybe they wind up using meaningless games in reincorporate Gonzales and Rhodes? Maybe rest the injured Reggie Wayne? We'll see. They are thinned out to the bone, thus - must have focus.
colts can afford to lose a game or two more than they can afford going into the playoffs "thinned out to the bone." so we'll see.
The browns and the under won me $150 last night. Cowboys better come ready to play. Texans better play to save Kubiak's job.
Partially because the Colts have done this before, and they haven't looked that impressive as of late. Same goes for the Saints.
