I'll go all in and say it's Cushing and Mathews. I believe Harvin and a few others tested positive for chronic and that DT Bj Raiji tested positive for something as well. That's like five first rounders testing positive. Lance Z has been fellating the USC linebackers but if I'm the Texans I would pass. Those dudes are going to deflate or deteriorate fast, resulting in quick suckitude.
Not surprised at all, and agreed that I don't want to pick a guy that's going to have a post-roids hangover. Additionally, I still feel that safety is the biggest concern and would really hope they find a way to get someone like Jenkins at 15. I feel better about Diles-Ryans-Adibi than the brown bag special we've got a FS-SS.
I don't think weed scares many teams away these days, but if there was ever any chance of Raji falling to the Texans it just got a little greater.
Story on Raji http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/04/02/raji/index.html How can you work so hard all your life, and show up to the job interview knowing you're going to get popped on the drug test? My god. morons.
Wow, when I heard Clay Matthews yesterday on 1560 he was talking about how he was a skinny 160 lb weakling his Jr. year in high school, got up to 200 lbs and walked on at USC, then developed fast and the first thing I thought of was steroids.... I wouldn't draft him if it is true.
I don't know. You would be naive to think there aren't players on the Texans right now who use steroids or some other performance enhancer. I would do my research and try to find out what kind of a user the player was and proceed accordingly. If it was something that was used a few times to recover during spring workouts, I probably wouldn't be that alarmed. But if it was a weekly thing to recover after every game, then yeah I might be worried. As far as Raijii, I would be concerned if he couldn't put the weed down long enough to go to the combine. That along with his weight speaks to commitment. With the hair samples that he knew they were going to take, he shouldn't have even been near the stuff for months.
I'm sure every team has their users, but just look at Cushing and Matthews...their bodies scream of 'roids. Especially Matthews who blew up after he walked on. I don't see anybody on the Texans who's body is just that freakishly huge to make me question them. Mario definitely has a freakish body, but he was that way in college too.
Harvin was incredible for the Gators, and I can't wait to cheer him on in the NFL. But getting busted for weed is royally stupid. You're about to become multi-millionaires and you can't hold off (or at least be smart) on the weed. It's a different situation then steroids, but I still can't help but shake my head (especially when they represent UF).
The thing is, if this is true, not only is it absolutely moronic, but the entire USC team should be investigated. I mean, I give them the benefit of the doubt and we'll say that these two (if this is true) are just two knuckleheads in a team full of non-users. But how stupid can you be... I mean, I always thought that Cushing was 'roided up, thus I've been reluctant to say that I want the Texans to go after him, but Matthews? Talk about ruining the family name, if true....
I'm shocked, just shocked. This is just an attempt from all the haters to tear down the greatest defense in the history of college football.
My bad. I wasn't sure, which is why I said I could be wrong. 9 times out of 10, when I say that, I'm wrong...lol.
