The issue of trading with the computer had come under some controversy is the league and I think we need to hear from all the GM's on this matter . Now Nomar tried to propose a trade with a team not currently runned by a GM . All Teams are controlled by Me , The Remaining teams are all controled by me as well, not the computer . the only difference is the teams not run by GM's settings for things such free agent signings , and coaching strategies are all done by the computer , as with the GM run teams I do it myself . As i pointed out , since all trades are between me and myself They will all be accepted unless a team is put below a minimum of players because of a trade . I would like some of your ideas as to weather we should allow trades but with restrictions , or ban trading with Computer-managed teams as a lot of you have already suggested
Allow computer trades, but not draft pick trades where the object is to gain a high draft pick. Also, the majority of GMs have to approve.
Normally, I would not be in favor of trades with the computer. However, if the trade is posed to all of the GMs and 2/3 approves it, then I think the trade should go through.
Simplicity says ban them all togather. Lets go with that. My heart says 2/3 majority vote the day after the trade is proposed---but too many people on this board are smart and devious enough to take advantage of others. Trade with humans only.
My vote is against trading with the computer. When there's a trade between two people, I figure they are both looking out for their own interests. The trade was negotiated on both sides. Therefore, the fairness of the league isn't threatened. With a human-computer trade, I feel like there is a much greater chance of one side (the computer) getting ripped off. The whole "majority approves" or "2/3 approves" thing seems good in theory, but it's too much work. I don't want to have to scrutinize every trade made with a computer team to make sure it is fair.
