Thanks guys. Good game there Cat. I thought I was doomed there for a second like in the Jets game, but luckily Manning came through for me.
I have a question: if one guy is doing the simming, how do the rest of you know what is going on during the game?
Behad, whoever is simming the game, which is Moe for the NFL sim, gives play by play in the chat. Btw, I've seen you post many times about the sim leagues...why don't you just join one already?
Actually, I would, except I do 95% of my posting (and surfing, for that matter) while at work. Unfortunately, chat rooms are not allowed at work, so I would not be able to keep up with the game itself. In fantasy leagues, I can follow the games with ESPN Gamecast.
Houston Texas (AP) - Reliant Stadium turned out to be the site of arguably the best Super Bowl ever, Peyton Manning finally won his big game and led his Colts to a dramatic 31-29 Super Bowl Victory over Green Bay despite Brett Favre's heroics. Forcing the Colts to punt late in the game, Favre hit Backup Tight End OJ Johnston with a 17 yard pass on third down, then found Bubba Franks wide open for a 32 yard gain, Then Favre found his Tight End Johnston again with a 10 yard TD strike with 41 seconds left. Ahman Green's run was halted though by Kalimba Edwards. After a 30 yard Kickoff return by Dominic Rhodes, Manning came out firing furiosly, after he had settled down, The Colts we facing a 4th and 2 with the clock running, Manning went with a gutsy no-huddle and threw a laser beam to rookie Roy Williams who held on, The Colts then called timeout with just 9 seconds on the clock at their own 42 yard line. After getting the play Manning dropped back and heaved one for Marvin Harrison, who caught the ball at the 20 yard line in double coverage, broke a tackle, and was taken down at the 12 with 2 seconds left, The Colts then called their last timeout with 1 second on the clock, Mike Vanderjagt came out and hit the game winning 29 yard field goal. "This is the greatest feeling" said the veteran of 8 seasons Marvin Harrison "We earned this, Peyton is a great QB, and we have a great defense, and young guys like Roy Williams and Kalimba Edwards really stepped up." Harrison caught 3 TD passes in the game including one on a fake screen pass, where Manning pump faked toward Roy Williams and then found Harrison who burned Quentin Jammer for a 41 yard Touchdown, Harrison raised one finger to the heaven as he walked into the end zone. What a feeling it was for Harrison, the 5 time Pro Bowl WR who had not been as involved in the offense this year.
