Then more WTF... Yeah umm I'm going to have to disagree with his agent. Incest is effed up. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5497517
Well... it's consensual. Still doesn't make it right, but at least it's not rape tacked onto incest. I don't understand why in the world people even do stuff like this though...
why exactly do you think that what he did is worse than 90% of what that agent lists? you've got some messed up priorities if you think what he did was worse than assault/rape/murder/drug offenses or stuff like michael vick's dogfighting. even DWI is arguably worse since you're jeopardizing people's lives and property by driving drunk. yeah incest is messed up, but at least they're not hurting anyone else.
I didn't read any articles, but how did this bit of info come out? You'd think something like this would be buried wayyyy deep inside someone's deepest chamber of secrets in their brain. Only inception could get this kind of info out.
That article is messed up in the sense of the police prying into issues that aren't any of their damn business. I can't believe he went to jail for a month over consensual sex with the mark of being a sex offender for the rest of his life.
I agree with the dude. Although it's effed up, he didn't hurt anyone. And the fact that since he was 16, having to carry around the sex offender label for the rest of his life, is totally crappy.
Amen. Give the guy a chance. He was, at one point, leading up to the draft, projected as a late second to mid-third round pick by some, if I recall.
Who is minimizing rape, assault, DWI, dogfighting, etc.? The agent is minimizing incest. Sorry unless the guy is r****ded, that's effed up.
Society labels it as taboo. I mean it's like how society labels homosexuals. It's consensual between both parties and it's not at all like rape, but in society's eye it's "wrong". And we are all taught it's wrong from the media. I do believe there is a moral barrier that should have prevented anyone from having consensual sex with their own biological sister, but either way it shouldn't really be a punishable offense.
The point is was what he did any more effed up than the host of crimes you listed? I would say no to all except drugs/fighting. Players are playing in the NFL having committed those crimes, while he can't even get an invite because of what he did.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=183564 I remember that thread, all the intellectualism in it got really irritating
Can't believe I don't recall posting in that thread. Anyways, I don't think the guy's a sex offender. I just think he's sick.
As screwed up as it is, the police and law shouldn't be getting into that if it was consensual. Thats their business and something that the government should never get in to. You can argue morals of it but legally there shouldn't be anything wrong.
