Texans up to #11 in ESPN Power Rankings http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking?season=2007&week=3 Colts #2 Cowgirs #3 Titans #15
unbelievable, one thing about it I'm not the biggest fan but I will always remember that carolina game. what bill simmons calls, making the leap, the texans made it. i can't imagine them not playing well the rest of the year.
I like NFL.com's Vic Carucci's rankings... http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d802783aa&template=with-video&confirm=true
The attention is great, but I'm not ready to say that we're better than San Diego, Baltimore, or Denver. A win this week sure would make me a believer.
Is this the link you're referring to? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/09/16/mmqb/1.html
Yeah this is all well and good, but it's obviously due to being 2-0 more than being better than the other teams.. but it's nice
But by being 2-0, doesn't that mean we are playing better than the other teams? Rankings are ALWAYS a weekly thing reflecting on how well the teams are playing.
I agree this is a BIG game to proving the Texans are legit. After the t*** blowing their load and losing by that much to the Colts, beating Indy (who is top 2 or 3 in the NFL) would highly validate the claim that our boys are ready for primetime. But, until then let's not get ahead of ourselves. A lot of football to be played but, I definitely like the way we are heading. Bring on Indy!!!
I actually wouldn't mind if we pulled a Tennessee and barely lost. It'd show we could compete but still give us the underdog/chip on the shoulder.
