not that it's a big deal, but don't forget that the nfl reseeds in the second round. For instance, if the 6 seed were to beat pittsburgh, then that team would play oakland, rather than the titans.

With all that said, i think cleveland and NYJ are weaker teams than miami and NE. I kinda wish the pats were in to see if they can get that magic going again, though I'm totally a titans fan hoping to see them get back to the super bowl.

I'll call my shot once I see how the nfc is seeded.....

    AFC
    Jets
Steelers (I am rooting for the Browns though)

    NFC
    Giants
    Packers

    Week #2 - Divisional

    AFC
    Jets
    Titans

    NFC
    Packers
    Eagles

    Week #3 - Conference Championship

I wouldn't mind the Titans or Jets winning it all. Screw Green Bay and the Bucs. Oakland won't win it all - sorry guys.

Major - the Bucs can't win at Philly - unless Philly gets knocked off Tampa is a long shot.

I guess it is set, and nothing comes from that niners monday night game. with that said, here goes....

    AFC:

    5. Colts @ 4. Jets

Jets take this game. The colts are lucky to be in it at this point. Harrison is a legit MVP candidate, but without a healthy edge, and a porous run D, this team just can't make enough plays against a hot Jets team.

    6. Browns @ 3. Steelers

Unless they can keep willie green hot vs a good steeler run D, browns don't have a chance. I don't know that the couch injury will hurt them as much as people think, but I do think that the steelers will be able to use amos more as a receiver than they do with bettis. Could be a close game, but I just think that pittsburgh will win it with it's defense.

    5/4 @ 1. Raiders

I'll take the raiders here. Easily the best team in the AFC. They'll handle the jets in the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. Pennington is definitely an up and comer though.

    6/3 @ 2. Titans

Tough call, but I think I'll take tennessee over the steelers here. The titans are my team, but I can see this being a close game, somewhere along the lines of 20-17. If tenn. can't get eddie george on track, then they'll be in trouble. Look for a steady dose of holcombe to give the titans the change of pace and burst from the backfield to keep pittsburgh off guard, and look for those ritualistic two picks of maddox he throws every game to be the difference.

    AFC Championship:

I hate to say it, but I don't see the raiders losing at home to anyone. Yeah, they could lose. anything can happen this year, but they have way too much talent and flexibility offensively to get beat. If they lose, it's cuz they beat themselves, or their secondary kills them.

    NFC:

    5. Giants @ 4. Niners

Tough call, but I think the niners find a way to win at home. Giants are hot, but garcia to owens is just plain unfair. If owens is out, I'll take the giants.

    6. Falcons @ 3. Packers

Cold weather = pack win. 'Nuff said.

    5/4 @ 1. Eagles

Playoffs are a totally different game. Will feeley play? Will mcnabb be back, and healthy? I think defense will carry this team past the niners, but the next round??

    6/3 @ 2. Bucs

God, i hate feeling like i'm picking the top seed each game, but I just don't see favre writing the ship vs this TB team in Tampa. That team kills him for some reason in Florida, and last game, they shut down ahman as well. It'll be interesting to see if Donald Driver is healthy, because if not, this team has no chance.

    NFC Championship:

I'm going to go out on a relative limb and pick the eagles here. I think they match up well with Tampa, and even if the game is 6-3, I think the offense for Philly will do just enough, and avoid mistakes, in order to defeat tampa. I feel like Philly, of all NFC teams, has the best chance of winning on the road, so i'll go with them. Even if mcnabb doesn't come back. They have a great system for qb's- short throws, a variety of backs to hand off to, and a very aggressive defense and special teams that makes plays.

    Super Bowl:

Oakland vs. Philly - Superbowl in California for the raiders- I would like Philly to win, but I think that it'll be Oakland. Another close game. Maybe 27-23, but Oakland has the most talent, albeit OLD talent. Nothing would surprise me, but Gannon has been amazing this year, and I look for him to help keep the championship in the AFC again this year.

Major - the Bucs can't win at Philly - unless Philly gets knocked off Tampa is a long shot.

Up until today, the Bucs couldn't win in under 40 degree weather or something either. :) I would agree with you if McNabb was 100% healthy. I know he wants to play in the playoffs, but if he does, I don't think he'll be at 100%, and if he doesn't, I don't see Philly's offense working too well with Feeley / Detmer. Of course, Brad Johnson isn't healthy either, and Tampa goes nowhere without him.

All that said, that prediction is partially a "hope" prediction. I don't like Philly and I like Tampa Bay and Jon Gruden.

    AFC:

    5. Colts @ 4. Jets

If Marvin Harrison is out the Jets should win this, but they have already shown they can flop in big games this year (like most of the NFL, really).

    6. Browns @ 3. Steelers

Holcombe starts for the Browns and the beat the Steelers in an upset. Browns RB Green is peaking right now.

    @ 1. Raiders vs. Browns
Cleveland remembers their Loser Ways as Oakland rolls.

    @ 2. Titans vs. Jets
The Titans defense is peaking at the right time and Steve McNair is the guttiest QB in the game. Titans win a close one.

    AFC Championship: Titans @ Raiders
McNair lights up a weak Oakland secondary and the Titans pull off the upset.

    NFC:

    5. Giants @ 4. Niners
The Revenge of Terrell Owens. The Giants look much better than the 49'ers at this point, but I have a feeling the home team will win this one.

    6. Falcons @ 3. Packers
Michael Vick shocks the world...and still loses to the Packers. The Jets' thrashing of the Packers this week (in a meaningless game for the Pack) will wake them up.

    Niners @ 1. Eagles
Mcnabb comes back and the Eagles struggle. The 49'ers still don't have enough to beat the Eagles.

    Packers @ 2. Bucs
The revenge of Sherman? Tampa Bay remembers it's Tampa Bay and loses again in the playoffs. Once again Jon Gruden, Warren Sapp and Brad Johnson fail to win a significant game.

    NFC Championship: Packers @ Eagles
Duce Staley and that great defense leads the Eagles on to the Bowl.

    Super Bowl: Titans vs. Eagles
Two gritty teams...two tough QB's...two solid coaches...two solid defenses...the better defense, The Eagles, wins.
Koy Detmer finishes the game as the winning quarterback ; ).

Philadelphia fans boo the team during the championship parade!

    AFC:

    5. Colts @ 4. Jets
I think the hot Jets win this one on the arm of Pennington. Say 24-17

    6. Browns @ 3. Steelers
Steelers in a lopsided game 24-10. Pitt defense way too strong.

    @ 1. Raiders vs. Jets
For the second year in a row Oakland ends the Jets season. Closer than expected 24-21

    @ 2. Titans vs. Steelers
Steelers in a tight defensive game. 14-10

    AFC Championship: Steelers @ Raiders
Gannon lights up Pitt secondary and the wheels fall off the bus. 20-10

    NFC:

    5. Giants @ 4. Niners
The end of the Giants run. Too much Garcia and Owens. Niners 24-17

    6. Falcons @ 3. Packers
Packers not losing in Lambeau. Vick is good but cant play Defense for Atlanta. 24-14

    Niners @ 1. Eagles
Eagles win but not by much. 17-14

    Packers @ 2. Bucs
Gruden gets the Bucs fired up enough to win in Tampa. 23-20

    NFC Championship: Bucs @ Eagles
Eagles over Bucs because they always put them out.

    Super Bowl: Raiders vs. Eagles
Oakland wins Vs. the Eagles in another SB. Gannon is the MVP after throwing for over 300 yds.

    Raiders 21-13

    my Predictions

    AFC:

    5. Colts @ 4. Jets

Jets are going to win, it's cold, their at home and Colts have a horrible Defense, especially against a West Coast offense..

    6. Browns @ 3. Steelers
Browns Dont stand a chance, Couch out and Steelers can stop the run

    5/4 @ 1. Raiders
Raiders Over Jets.. It will be close but cant see Raiders losing

    6/3 @ 2. Titans
Steelers Over Titans.. George hasnt been what everyone thinks he is, he avg i think a little under 3 per carry and Steelers can shut down the run and handle scrampling qb's rather well

    AFC Championship:

Steelers Finally going to get to the SuperBowl, Raider will have 1 thing go wrong for them and Steelers will take it

    NFC:

    5. Giants @ 4. Niners

Niners just because they are the better team

    6. Falcons @ 3. Packers

Falcons.. This is my upset special, Falcons can take anyone i believe and we seen the Falcons almost beat the Pack in Lambeau if they didnt miss a FG

    5/4 @ 1. Eagles

McNabb or Not (McNabb is back) they win, they beat Niners without Donovan once and will do again

    6/3 @ 2. Bucs

Bucs over the Falcons.. beat em twice and Vick didnt do anyything

    NFC Championship:

Eagles, at home its cooold and Bucs cant win in cold, eagles had theur # past 2 yrs going 3-0 in the Vet

    Super Bowl:

Philly over Steelers... The Steelers wont have playmakers in this game, burres and ward shut down by the best secondary in the NFL and McNabb makes things happen, Special teams will be the difference though

well, before i say my predictions, i have to say i am amazingly suprised how many people put the falcons over the packers. sure, the packers lost to the jets, but atlanta lost to the browns, and the game is in GREEN BAY. they have NEVER lost a playoff game there, EVER. im telling you there is NO WAY they will lose to the falcons at lambeau.

    anyway

    colts at jets:
jets are too hot for indy to handle. jets get the pick.

    browns at steelers:
steelers are the stronger team here.

    steelers at titans:
i gotta go with the steelers here

    jets at raiders:
i just dont see the old farts getting past the hot jets. sorry

    jets at steelers:
jets. its always a team in the super bowl that you wouldnt expect to be there. this year, its the jets.

    NFC

    giants at niners:
well, i hate san francisco but im gonna have to go with them over the giants.

    falcons at packers:
come on people. packers in lambeau in january? i dont even see HOW you could pick the falcons here. vicks good, but not that good.

    niners at eagles:
definatly philly. the eagles are just way too good here.

    packers at bucs:
HERE is where the pack will be kicked out. here is where history starts workin against favre. bucs are the pick

    bucs at eagles:
    eagles. they OWN tampa.

    jets at eagles super bowl:
jets. yet another upset super bowl winner.

blah. i cant belive green bay threw away a shot at the super bowl. home field advantage for green bay throughout the playoffs? its over. but it was not to be. and the bears suck too much to even score a point against tampa. that was pitiful.
