Matchups: Saturday: Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens As much as I want to pick Indy I am having to go against them in this game. They're not at home and they're playing against a defense that is better than the Chiefs and an offense that can run the ball as well as manage it with the passing game. I am going with Baltimore. Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints Philly is my favorite team but I am picking against them in this game. The Saints are rested and the Eagles may be even thinner on D with Sheppard having a dislocated elbow. New Orleans will continue the feel-good story of the year and put an end to the hottest streak in the league. I also believe whoever wins this game will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Sunday: Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears Seattle is probably looking for some revenge after the Bears thrashed them earlier in the season. With a depleted secondary, I believe they'll (Seahawks) will have trouble making Grossman uncomfortable in the pocket. The Bears win...again. New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers It's hard to pick against the Patriots, especially in January. San Diego may be the most complete team in the league though with a good offense and defense to match. I am going with the Chargers.
If the Patriots can get past the Chargers, they will certainly be going all the way. Should be the game of the season!
Ravens over Colts - I think the Ravens can get to Peyton and I don't see Addia rushing for 100+ against them like he did against KC. I don't see Indy's D playing as well on the road as they did at home. Patriots over Chargers - The next big game Marty S. wins will be his first. Chargers are better on paper, but the Pats are more experienced and Marty is a choker. Bears over Seahawks - Still can't get used to Seattle being in the NFC. Bears win but don't get to the SB. Saints over Eagles - Battle of 2 teams that have had dream seasons. I'm going with the home team. Still pulling for the Ravens to win the SB. Get a ring for McNair!
Ravens - They've been hot as of late and got a chance to rest some injuries. The Colts have been nothing short of terrible. They only played less crappy than the Chiefs. Eagles - Momentum is a crazy thing. The Saints haven't been great lately, including Brees. I think the Eagles continue to ride the wave... Chargers - Brady will now be 11-2 in playoff games. This could be a classic. It will be a close, very well played game. Tomlinson is just too much for any team to handle and Shawn Merriman is playing like a man possesed. Bears - A battle of who will suck less for one game. Grossman will get pulled at halftime and Griese will lead them to the NFC title game.
Ravens Saints Seahawks Chargers Does anyone realize the amount of blood lust that will be in the stands in Baltimore this weekend? The Colts first trip to Baltimore for a playoff game since they moved....might be the Colts first trip to Baltimore EVER since they moved! There will be many drunken fans spewing hatred towards the Colts in Baltimore this weekend. I feel sorry for any Indy fans who make the trip and wear Colts gear inside the stadium.
I believe they said on ESPN that the Colts have visited Baltimore 3 times before this game. I wouldn't worry too much about Baltimore fans. They can't be as crazy as Eagles fans.
Again, no one else has my picks.. Colts Eagles Bears Chargers (Then again, I was 1-3 in the opening round)
Man, what's the line on the Pats/Charger game? I can't believe so many people are picking the Chargers. I'm not a gambler, but I'll bet I could make some serious cash by picking the Pats. I just don't think there's any way SD wins this game. Should be a helluva game, though.
