Anyone else catch the return of Micheal Vick against the Panthers Sunday night?

    16/33 for 179 yards passing.
14 carries for 141 yards rushing.

His passing numbers would have been better if not for 4 or 5 drops by his recievers. He is mindblowing to watch.

Beware...why? The Falcons are 3-10 and the only playoff bound team they have left to play is Indianapolis.

    he is mindblowing...absolutely.

but why do i keep getting the haunting feeling this guy is the next bo jackson?? the feeling that we're going to end up saying, "man, if that guy could have stayed healthy, he would have owned all the records."

I gotta admit, he is very exciting to watch. The ease with which he plays the game is staggering.

Who will they add to that team. That is the scary part. A high draft pick plus Vick. They could be making a superbowl run next year.

Too bad Dan Reeves won't be around to take them there. They shouldn't fire him, but I'll bet they do.

Dan Reeves career record is 201-174, a whopping 54%. He is perhaps the most overrated pro football coach ever. He should be gone yesterday.

    Just my opinion of course.

did you say that last year, after the falcons won a playoff game against the Packers??? did you say it when he took atlanta to the freaking super bowl??

make no mistake about it...if michael vick weren't injured this season, dan reeves would still have his job next year.

I get that Bo Jackson feeling with him also. I just have a feeling he's going to be extremely injury prone.

Even if Vick were healthy all season, they wouldn't be true super bowl contenders. This team needs to improve the defense, and probably the offensive line. They'd probably be a playoff team, but that's it. Reeves might be out just because he's been there so long and had his chance...now its someone else's turn. He's not a bad coach.

    Exactly.

Every season I've played in Madden 2004, Vick gets his CAREER ended by a simply vicious hit while he's scrambling.

That shot he took last night when he picked up that fumble was nasty. I liked the way his teammates stood up for him, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

I like Dan Reeves, I hope he can keep his job.

Some great coaches never win the big one, and some can get lucky early and get a good enough team to win (like Gruden).

Yes. 2 interceptions, 3 fumbles and a blocked punt for a touchdown won that game for us. It was more of a case of Green Bay giving the game to us than us taking it away from them. I, of course, was still very happy

Yes. Minnesota, namely Gary Anderson and Randall Cuningham, choked. I, of course, was still very happy.

Possibly, but then again Dan Reeves has always relied on a great player to save his ass.(Elway, Jamaal, now Vick)

so he wins a playoff game...gets to a super bowl...and it's not enough??? you just write it off to other teams not winning?? come on.

news flash -- all coaches rely on great players to win games. all coaches. just ask pat riley.

    Dan, is that you??

To answer your question, no it's not enough. One lucky playoff win in Green Bay followed by an absolute drubbing at the hands of the Eagles doesn't fill my heart with joy. One great run, (5 freaking years ago!!!), followed by seasons of 5-11, 4-12, 7-9, and 9-6-1 isn't exactly mind-blowing either.

again...he did more with that talent than most coaches would have, in my opinion. that was one of the least talented super bowl teams in recent memory...but they were there.

i guess growing up in houston...if a coach could get my team to the super bowl, i would crown him mayor. and i certainly wouldn't give up on him following rebuilding into a playoff team because his team disappointed after vick was gone all season with an injury. that makes little sense to me.
