Man, how are you supposed to develop any kind of chemistry with the O-line when guys keep having season ending injuries?

This is all David Carr's fault.

if a weigert falls in the forest, and no one hears it, does it make a sound?

No really... that is not neccessary. Weigert is part of the problem with this team, and will likely not be on the club next year anyways (Winston will take his job).

Looks like Travis Johnson is out for the year too (torn calf muscle)

I guess Weaver will move permantely inside and Babin/Peek will share time opposite Mario.

That sounds fine... they won't be able to switch out the line as much, but Mario seems to have a good enough grasp of what he needs to do to stay out there.

Winston had a couple of really nice run blocks on the final drive yesterday - sealed off the corner on Gado's 6 yarder & had a great push on the 4th & 1.

Maybe, finally, after about 6 different tries, the Texans found a couple of guys who can play quality OT in the NFL. Damn shame Spencer's missing so much time this year.

Spencer is out for the season.

This line is an improvement, but like someone mentioned earlier, I doubt that Weigert will be re-signed. Look for the Texans to draft an OL in either the first or second round, unless we get lucky in free agency. This line lacks depth. Expecially now.

Yeah, that's exactly what the Sportsradio610 talking heads were saying after the game.

Uh, yeah. See my last sentence.

I'd love to see the Texans target a couple of OGs this offseason via draft/FA.

I would be very surprised if they drafted an OLineman in the first round, and mildly surprised if they did in the 2nd round. Typical Denver offensive line thinking is to get guys in the later rounds that can develop. I'd look more for linebacker or secondary help in the first and 2nd rounds.

    Oops, Sorry.

I read 'missing so much time this year' as present tense.

As opposed to 'missed the season' as a foregone conclusion.

    Just letting ya know.

    My bad

I would have said that as well, until Weigert's injury. I doubt they re-sign him now.

Eric Winston will be playing in Wiegert's place. They also have Spencer who was getting all the love in the preseason. If Winston plays well in Wiegert's place I can't imagine they would draft a tackle at all. I would imagine instead that they would go with an older vet to back up like Ephraim Salaam this year.

I guess they might go after a center or guard because Mike Flanagan is older than dirt, but very rarely do the best centers go before the 2nd anyway. I would be suprised it they go after a lineman on the first day at all.
