1st step: draft kenyon martin 2nd step: keep olajuwon, cato, francis, anderson, mobley, and rogers 3rd step: try to sign jalen rose, chauncey billups, and dennis scott (if possiible) 4th step:win the championship with this lineup: pf:martin/rogers sf:rose/scott c lajuwon/cato sg:anderson/mobley pg:francis/billups
Hell yeah we get Kenyon. I dont know why we shouldnt. But hold up Dennis SCOTTT! WHY? Jalen Rose will not sign with us, he wants detroit. Billups, he wont be a backup. I say we go after McGrady.
Brahman, you are obviously meditating too long my man! Dennis Scott- this guy is done. When you purposefully sign with the Grizzlies your career is over. I was watching game 1 of the 95 finals, last night, and remembering the dynasty the Majic would have had if they had been the Los Angeles Majic. Life is tough. And it's been tough on 3D. He's just the Chuck Person of today. A has been. There is no way to predict this off-season yet as we can't even predict the trades that are about to occur during the season. And believe me there will be one. Rockets always trade, never tank, when they are losing. I keep thinking Popeye might have some knowledge of the rumors, and stop by and drop some on us. But I have no idea. [This message has been edited by CaucasionSensation (edited December 23, 1999).]
i dont think rudy will make any moves this season. i mean who do we have to trade that anybody wants???????
I think we should try to get J.R. Rider. He would be a great addition to this team. Rudy is the kind of coach who could deal with his attitude and he always delivers on the court. With him we could move Shandon to the 3. Another possibility would be eddie jones.
Have you all forgotten about 2 sandwiches and Kenny Thomas? Or Matt Bullard for that matter. THamm might get into decent shape during this season/off season. He will probably be really effective if he gets into shape, because he is so damn big. And Kenny Thomas has shown he can post up with the big boys. He has a decent 3 point shot, plenty of hustle, and has a decent post up game. And he will also improve throughout the off season. When he was in New Mexico, he had a bit of a weight problem; now, he runs the floor well and is in good shape. So, that indicates that he has a hard work ethic because he obviously got into shape. And it's not like Kelvin Cato; Kenny Thomas already has some skills to build on, whereas Cato has to start from scratch.
JR's problems have leveled off, but you never know with this guy. If he doesn't do anything stupid throughout the end of this season, then JR might not be that bad of a deal. But then again JR IS A HUGE BALL HOG. With Cat here, JR isn't gonna be getting as many minutes as he would like to get. He's gonna start complaining about how he wants to be the man and stuff. Believe me, he has done that a lot before. THE GUY IS THE BIGGEST BALL HOG IN THE WORLD.
J.R. Rider? Please! Do you know how Rudy deals with attitude? TRADE HIM. Why get the head case just to trade him and ruin another season by getting new guys again that are not used to playing together. No thanks! Unless there is a really good trade, I would like to have a few seasons of knowing my players. I do like Kenny Thomas a lot too but is he big enough?
