But they allowed for that, so you got it right:

On Question 3 — "which foreign country holds the most U.S. government debt?" — both China and Japan are now accepted as correct answers on our interactive quiz. China had been the major holder of U.S. government securities for more than a year, and was the correct answer according to then-available Treasury data when the quiz was administered in a nationally representative survey. But data released by the U.S. Treasury on Feb. 16, 2010 reveal that China sold a large block of its U.S. holdings in December so that Japan again became the top foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities.

11/12. I missed the oil one.

It doesn't matter what party you belong to, the results are frightening enough.

A pet peeve of mine is questions that begin "do you happen to know." The correct answer would be 'yes' or 'no.'

I missed 2. Foreign oil and the origin of the bomber guy.

11/12. Don't know how, but I missed how many women are on the SC. :(

I like how they say, "do you happen to know...." So non-confrontational. But, I look for Yes and No in the multiple choice.

Thanks for posting this, btw, OP.

The results by demographic are frightening.

    We are a stupid society.

I got 10/12, these two were wrong...

Do you happen to know how many women, if any, sit on the U.S. Supreme Court?

During the entire year of 2009, do you happen to know if there were more American military fatalities in:

I don't live in the states so I think I did okay, but then again I know more about US politics than Canada's, since Canada is irrelevant on the global scheme of things.

Missed the oil question and the fatalities question.

It's nice that they updated the survey. They had an old one up there for awhile that was pretty far out of date.
