i dont know if odom being out would help or hurt the rockets chances in game 5. on one hand he's been ineffective, and you probably dont want to give the lakers any extra motivation to play hard. on the other hand it would give bynum more minutes and weaken their bench which our bench has been owning.
Really? He's been upgraded to ghey, I thought he was just a turd? That stinks. You hate to see a guy go out that way...
I think that if the Lakers start Bynam and Gasol and keep pounding it inside and use their height advantages, they would kill us. In that sense I would like to see Odom start. He doesn't have the weight to guard Scola on the block.
i like odom as a player. gotta feel for him. fell down hard, broken back a little, heard the whistle and got back... offensive foul buddy! what did you say? t'd up! went back to bench, jackson told him just to suck it up, "it's just one of these days..." i am not complaining, though.
After the game he said he would not practice Monday and would just get treatment. He was wearing muscle stimulation pads on his back in the lockerroom. He also hinted that Battier was a little late getting to the position and undercut him. He didn't call Battier out, but did in a roundabout way.
i am sure shane never intended to undercut him. (only a laker or jazz could do that.) if he has complaints, he should direct them more to the refs. (but dan crawford is the good crawford. )
shane might have been late getting there. it's the playoffs. the rockets were handed their share of cheap shots. some even premeditated. i definitely won't feel bad if odom has to miss game 5.
His rebounding is what hurts the Rox. I doubt they will play Bynum as much as they have thus far as PJ commented that he has not been himself. I wouldn't be surprised if Mbenga gets some minutes next game.
