Ok, so here's another misguided trade rumor prediction from a professional news writer, and this one is stupid. If Brand could stay healthy I would say pull the trigger, but here we have a guy that is injured more often than TMAC! But like I said, if he could stay healthy for 70+ games then this would be a great trade. Brand would be a guy that could take the double teams off Yao down low, and make the defenders pay if they left Brand or Yao one on one. Keep shopping for bogus rumors though writers, i guess Vescey is probably next....

It's not even a rumor. The article isn't really worth a thread or post.

This is no different than a poster that creates and thread of a proposed thread. Only difference, that guy works for the New York Daily. But let me get this right, Trade T-Mac for another guy who is even more injury prone than T-Mac? HAHAHAHA that must have been from the Comedy section of their paper.

Ah Clutch you must be wishing such news is true. You didn't lock the thread even without a link.

Letting other board members know what? I'm pretty sure most of the ppl on this site can figure out from the title that this is a prediction. i simply posted it, i did not write the article.... this is getting old, i'm goin to go enjoy some nfl pregame and not lash out at someone starting a thread....

Trading TMac for a dominant PF is silly, IMO, even if Brand could stay healthy (and this "rumor" were even 1/100th% true).

    1. We have Scola who looks like he could be a great complimentary player and has the potential to be close to all-star caliber after a few years.

    2. Going back to the Hakeem/Barkley days, those two players would often grind the offense to a standstill because both of them are low post players.

Brand wouldn't "space" the floor, he'd clog it up. If Brand is trying to post-up somebody, that means Yao needs to clear out to give him space. Is that good?

We need a player that can truely space the floor. A great penetrator and/or outside shooter. Ray Freaking Allen might be my first choice if I could just force the other team to trade with us.

I liked Brand Pre- injury, but I would rather have a combo forward like Jamison....

In truth, I want to keep Tmac.

If we are going to trade Tmac it has to be for someone who can stay healthy and on the floor, like Grant Hill or TJ Ford.

Agreed we need a player that will space the floor a kill teams for doubling Yao. Ray Allen or a Michael Redd type of guy. The only + side of having an Elton Brand we'd have a dominant rebounder to give Yao a hand. The Rockets have been giving up 2nd and 3rd chance shots like it's still X-mas lately.

You know what, I'd bet a $100 that someone at some point is going to suggest a trade of T-mac for Yi Jianlian.

The only players I want in any trade involving T-Mac are Josh Howard and Dwayne Wade.

Hate Josh Howard all you want, but this guy comes to play everyday. He can space out the floor as well. And of course, inject the 'missing leadership' into the Rockets (not that I think leadership is missing, or needed).

As for Wade, well, the 'attack the rim' problem will be then solved :D

that's impossible and a lop sided trade in favor of the bucks. it would have to be for redd + yi + fillers. question is, why would the bucks do this?
