Anyone here doing it? Since I am getting married in April, I am going to start eating better, cut out the soft drinks and drink more water. So that is my Resolution, to lose weight.
come january, we're frozen in time making new resolutions a hundred times i never make them. i "kinda" have one, though. i want to read the Bible all the way through this year. i picked up one that combines chapters from old testament and new testament together each day...so it schedules you to finish in a year. i've read all of it in pieces...but i don't believe i've ever read it all condensed in one year.
My resolution is to lose weight (I've only had this as my resolution once before, and I did lose 30 pounds and keep it off for a couple years...so I am serious. I also resolve to get my wife pregnant.
Less stress for me too, after 12 years with the same company, my last day here is January 5th. I start my new job on the 9th, more money = less stress.
I don't need to lose weight, but I do want to make a commitment to really eat better for a couple months just to get in better shape. I'm also going to try not drinking or smoking for a month just to see if I can do it. This all starts next Thursday, because I know I can't commit to any of these things until Bowl season is over.
After 17 years working with the same group, I start afresh on Jan 3rd too! In my case.....less money = less stress. (hopefully not toooo much less money....the joys of the self employed).
No drinking or smoking for a month? Like I haven't heard that from you before... I give you a week before you are slamming down a miller or some vodka and sucking on a marlboro light. I on the otherhand need to eat better and get some excersize... once I move in February I should have the time/money to do both.
Way to be supportive there, ASS. Seriously, though, SV is right. Quitting both is really tough. Best to just try for one and lean on the other for support.
He and his wife have told me they would stop smoking every few months for the past 5+ years so I'm not holding my breath. It's not like they are a pack a day kinda folks though... but still, I'll believe it when I see it.
This is where you bet them money and take them for every cent they've got! Then you'll be rich, they'd be too poor to buy cigs, and a good laugh is had by all.
This may sound like a joke, but I am going to go out more and drink more. This has been a very stressful year for me and I seriously think it's because I never stop and smell the roses. I have to loosen up more. Friends call me up and want to go out and I always seem to come up with an excuse not to go. That's going to stop this year. Also, I'm going to do a better job of keeping in touch with my old friends who live out of town. Not just email either. In short, I'm going to quit being such a HERMIT.
