What's everyone doing for New Years Eve?

I'll be playing with my dueling piano show in Houston at a place called Pub Fiction. I've never been there before, but I'm excited about coming back to Houston for a night. I haven't been in a while.

Anyway, if any of you are looking for something to do, come out and check out the show.

I'm a regular at Pub. You'll do fine. Unfortunately we won't be at Pub on New Years.

If you enjoy it, let me know. I'll talk to the manager.

I currently don't have anything to do, but hopefully it involves consuming a few beverages and hanging out with some of my best friends...

Having a party at a long time friends house, eating a lot of food, swimming in the heated pool and they shooting off $500 bucks worth of the good fireworks.

Good thing our kids are all around the same age and can play together. Makes it easier for the parents to relax and have a good time.

I'm in charge of the food and fireworks so you know we are going to be eating good and blowing some **** up!

I haven't been out of the house on New Years in a decade but I have friends in town for the EV1 bowl this year and will have to come up with something for some 50+ er's and some under 21 er's. I'm working on the assumption that there is something going on on the streets of downtown (Houston) but I have been googling and googling and haven't come up with any info.

If you have any links please post em...or any family (well a pretty wild family) entertainment suggestions for New Years I could use them.

I played for like 8 or 9 years in a row on New Years up until 98-99. That year, while driving to my rehearsal room at 3am, I was nearly run off the road 3 times (in a 3-mile stretch of highway) by drunk idiots driving well over 100mph.

After that, I decided I had very little interest in being on the roads at New Year's. Oh yeah, that and all the gunfire at midnight.

The gunfire is one of the things you have to deal with living in The Heights.

Got a table at Ra in Luxor for New Year's Eve. The real party will be in Pasadena on the 4th after the Horns beat USC.

Ra = ghetto. Get a table at a real place like Body English, Light or Pure.

In the past, most of my New Years gigs have been out small towns, so it hasn't been so bad with the drunks. This year, we'll probably get a room somewhere close to the club.

It'll probably take close to two hours to break down my equipment, so that cuts out most of the drunk drivers.
