New Uniforms

The Rockets have new uniforms? Again?

 

Nope, they have to get rid of all the pinstriped PJ stuff first...

Because the Rockets already know the PJs will be valuable collector's items in a few years, they're selling all the items at twice the normal price...

 

if those old astros jerseys can make a comeback, then so can those pjs...

 

I hope so because most of my pj's have signitures on them.

 

Well, most of my pj's have horseys and feeties on hem, but that's another thread...

 

If that's really the case, we'll just pack them away and wait until then to sell them.

The store just got in the Francis white replicas today. They are supposed to get the red and white Yao replicas tomorrow. And the team store will be open for the first time by 4 p.m. Thursday. It will be open to everybody (whether or not you have a ticket for Thursday's game) until about 5:30 p.m. -- that's when the arena doors open, so after that time you'd have to acccess it from inside the arena.

The authentics are still going to be a while. But we'll be the only place in town with the replicas for at least a while. And we'll have 20+ varieties each of hats and t-shirts as well.

can you tell us what stores will be eventually selling the replicas?

I have been told by someone that some stores will never carry Rockets gear because they dont have an agreement in place.

True or no?

I was in Sears today drooling thru the electronics section, and stopped in menswear to look for some Rox gear....but they didnt have even one article of anything that said Rockets..

Texans stuff all over the place...but no Rockets..

I've noticed in a lot of stores, there is lots of NBA and college bball gear...but no Rockets...

Whats the deal on that?

Any clue when the new merchandise (particularly the hats) will be available to those of us outside the Houston area? Say via rockets.com/nba.com or the NBA store in NY?

Check out Academy. The one that I went to had every piece of Rockets gear imaginable, except for the jerseys.

I bouth a black Rockets hat with red lettering and the red one with white lettering.

Also bought a grey shirt with red lettering, long sleeve and short sleever. Black tshirt with red lettering and two red tshirts with white lettering.

 

Wow, dont let anybody tell you that your not a diehard.

 

yea...I went by an Academy a month or so back...and they had a few things.
I got a real sweet red shirt with the full logo ad the name on either side of it..

maybe by now they have more selection

 

When Smeg was in town, HP and he went to one Academy and said the selection there was limited and hard to find too. However, the one I went to, over on 290, had about 6 or 7 shelves full of Rocket tshirts and caps in all sorts of colors.

 

let me know when the shop is fully stocked R2K and Codell and then i will place my order..... i want lots!!!!!

 

and what about bobbleheads in the new uni's, need to get a set and then have them go head to head with the pin-stripe crew.

PS i want some cred for Steve's improvement his bobblehead sits between a Nash and Kidd bobbleheads, osmosis has been working a treat!!!!

 

Did you put the EG bobblehead between Ron Artest and JR Rider???

 

if so, the real question is..

why does Smeg have JR and Artest bobblegeads?

 

I have my nice EG water jug thing with the straw coming out of his head from last year.

 

that would look better if it was a bong not a water jug.
