Not to brag but.... okay, yes I may be gloating a bit... (FIRST OFF... NO, I do not work for Ford. ) I took delivery of a new '06 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew today! The full stats on it are in my photo gallery... I posted up 51 pics, with many of the features mentioned on the "Truth About Trucks" DVD and website vids. (if you've never watched these, go to ford.com and then the F150 home page... eye opening stuff). Be sure and check them out, and let me know what you think about the color/package, etc. if you give a rip, of course... It's the regional TX/OKLA package with the Nerf bars, 6 disc in-dash CD/MP3, etc... 4.6 Triton V8 with 17" rims and more... It also has a factory (OEM-dealer installed) bedliner. Man, I'm glad to be rid of the Astro AWD I had! The old bowtie minivan was only a 2003 but the lifters were getting noisy, had A/C issues, and several little things like the seat breaking down... just was time to move on... I couldn't see paying on a car that I was about to have in the shop on top of the note... Anyway, back to the F-150... For years I drove 'em as welding supply delivery trucks at work, and had friends in construction that practically lived in their F-Series trucks... Now I have one for the family (and myself) to enjoy!! I imagine my first few moves will be a sub under the back seat, window film on the front 2 doors, and maybe some in-channel vent shades... maybe some new components in the front doors as well... Maybe even a fiberglass hard tonneau cover... Okay I'm done. Just thought I'd share...
SWEET! I'm really thinkin' of buying one, but I just recently bought my wife a new red Nissan Xterra, which is also a sweet ride, becuz of our new baby girl just born on Feb. 2006. So we needed to get a new car. My wife insisted to buy The Ford truck & to trade in my 1999 Toyota Solara. However, the Solara has never given me any problems & it's really hard to get rid of it! What a delima (sp?). Maybe next year! Here in the Rio Grande Valley, big trucks & SUVs rule! Ford & Chevy trucks are like #1 & 2.
That's the truck one of my best friend's has, but in a different color. The only thing that will hold me back from getting one when the time comes is gas prices. Nice job, IROC it.
speaking of new cars ....I thought I'd never see the day where I would be driving a ................. MINI-VAN!!! im officially a "soccer dad"
Man, that is a nice truck. I really love the latest F-150. Congrats on the purchase IROC it. I just got rid of my Dodge RAM Quad cab though, in light of the gas price hike. I do a lot of driving around town, and it was getting ridiculous having to fill up almost twice a week at a clip of $65.00 per tank or more. OUCH! So I got a convertible!
Actually haven't purchased it yet. But we are thinking of either a Nissan Quest or a Dodge Grand Caravan (not just the Caravan ..but the "GRAND" Caravan) .....we want to be in style when hauling our 2 year old around
we're considering one. i usually lease cars, because i live so close to work and we just don't put many miles on a car. we have to make a decision by august.
I heard the Quest were ok, but Dodge and Plymouth suck...Why not a Honda Odyssey...I've had those in my past life and they were great...
Why do you and your gas guzzling truck love terrorists and hate america? Nice truck. A friend of mine down the street has one and I use it everytime I need to puck up something too big to fit in my MINI.
LOL! Well here in the Rio Grande Valley, this happens alot of times becuz folks down here does'nt drive that fast compared to H-town!
I've got a 2001 6 liter Sierra that drinks too much gas. If I knew that gas was going to go nuts, I might have bought something more fuel efficient. Thinking of trading it in on a Toyota.
