Have you guys notice that Luis and Chuck set half - *ss picks, and then splitting it wanting the ball. I mean if your gonna set a pick for Tmac, set a full one.

Tmac gets frustrated by them setting half picks and gets doubled and d'ed up having trouble passing out of it.

They are better off just Iso-ing T-Mac instead of Scola and Hayes bringing their man over to double T-Mac. All it does is run down the shot clock. :(

why not get away with moving screens if the refs allow it? it could work both ways.

Yea but why the hell would Chuck half pick and try to go to the basket for a score, we know he is offensively challenged.

because it's not like a head start to the basket is going to help them finish better at the rim.

chuck is getting better on offense, though. i think it's noticeable. he must've practiced real hard. even his ft form has changed.

It's on purpose -- called "slipping the pick". Dream used to do that all the time with Clyde back in the day, and he got a ton of open layups and baseline jumpers with it.

They are slipping the pick and if Rafer could learn how to pass to a cutter it would work a lot better......

They are trying to find a way to score easier baskets. The problem comes when the other big guys man rotates over and then the open man is either Dikembe or Chuck from about 10 feet out wide open. Not a whole lot they are gonna do there.

    it's a great idea...

but you have to throw in some real picks in order for the slip to be a surprise.

if you do it every time, the defense expects the slip and there is no pick so the play becomes pointless.

Slipping the pick makes it so the defensive BIG can't blitz Tracy and force him way out on the perimeter

All it does is give Tracy a different read to make, and it forces the defense to rotate, or 'show' to the 'slipper'

    I like the idea

It's not half *ss, Chuck and Luis are doing what the coaches are asking them to do

Hopefully the three days off gives them a chance to get back to normal.

We need everyone on top of their game. The next 5 games are on the road, but very winable including the one Sunday in SA. I think we can go at least 4-1.

    that's what i'm hoping for.

hell week wasn't just full of tough teams (all .600+), but it was a grueling schedule (5 games in 7 days). these past two games they only recovered slightly.

tmacs shoulder will get a chance to rest over the next 3 days. shane and luther will get a chance to work out of a shooting slump. deke and bj will rest thier legs.

i'm worried about coming out rusty against the spurs, though the rest will do the team good.

Took the words out of my mouth . . .

Landry had a big dunk against the Warriors because he slipped the pick.

with landry yes because he's a good finsher, but those two aren't the best around the basket. how many open layups does chuck have to miss (i don't care about his 50+ fg% because with the kind of shots he gets it should be around 90%).
