Kevin Smith begins life after dick and fart joke movies with Jersey Girl. Thankfully, J-lo is barely in it. The father raising a daughter on his own thing is played out, but it still looks all right.

And here is the Van Helsing trailer. I've been looking forward to this, too bad I got let down. The special effects look like crap. It seems like the guys who did the League of Extraordinary Gents did this. I hope they have time to clean the effects up.

I wholeheartedly agree with the LXG comparison. Some of the effects look downright awful in that trailer. Ugh. Jackman is a badass, but I'm not so sure I want to see this now. I saw LXG and immediately wanted my money back afterwards. I'm getting a similar vibe from this movie. Obi Wan said it best: "Trust your instincts, Luke..." Might have to follow that sage advice here.

Go here for some hot vampire chick photos from Van Helsing.

yes, when I saw the movie I thought a mix between "Underworld" and "LXG" but the effect definitely reminded me with LXG.

But you know I liked LXG, I was fine with the action, and the effects don't have to be lifelike for me to enjoy them.

BTW, I think Jersey Girl will SURPRISE alot of people. I posted a trailer that was at the ShoWest Convention a couple months back and thought that trailer was much better. If any of yall is interested in seeing it, Ill upload it to my webspace for u to see cause I believe Miramax ordered whoever had it online to take it down since it wasnt "official", it even said "Now in Production" at the end of the trailer.

I am still shock to see Kevin Smith do a PG-13 movie and will see how it goes. The Clerks cartoon was "ok" but couldve been better.

"Jersey Girl" will be the beginning of Kevin Smith's demise into Hollywood chicanery. I doubt he ever makes a good movie again after this piece of Affleck/J-Lo trash.

Thank you. I've always thought he was overrated in the first place. It's refreshing to see he sold his soul and has gone Hollywood by trying to make a feel good movie. Looks like garbage with no originality.

It'd be pretty sad if you don't watch this because J-Lo is in the first 10 minutes of the movie.

I won't watch it because it looks like a whiney, tear-jerking little movie. I cannot stand those types of movies. Plus, Ben Affleck is in it, and since I think he totally sucks, I probably will not even watch it when it comes on television.

I thoroughly enjoyed both "Clerks" and "Dogma", but this movie looks like a total piece of dogsh*t to me.

The sadder part is that Affleck is in the rest of the movie.

Carlin more than cancels out the Affleck factor for me.
