That pool basket is begging for another Drexler appearance to use the line "nothing but Net" or "you need to dunk that", maybe as they are sitting poolside watching Paul's kids play in pool.
Too much. I've said this before, but it might be worth repeating. Those national commercials from State Farm with Chris and James (and Ariza in the hilarious car sing-a-thon) are fantastic recruiting commercials for the Rockets, in my opinion, and they aren't costing the organization a dime. Players pondering where to go, or whether to stay where they are, will see those and not only think of the Rockets, but will think of the money and exposure they would be getting from being here. It might have a larger impact on guys like Luc and Tucker, relatively low salaried players who can use the extra bread, than on someone like Paul George or LeBron, but it won't hurt with the big names. Thanks, Stormy!
I have one positive thing to say about this commercial, and it is: I like that he has a little Rockets logo on the little pool backboard.
When we first traded for CP3, I was very uneasy about the move. I thought CP3 was extorting the Rockets, essentially buying into 1 competitive season while really looking to find a long-term home elsewhere. Maybe looking to team up with banana boat somewhere else in 2019...but it definitely looks like I was wrong. I think CP3 should age well, too...I hope he spends the rest of his career in Houston. We're so lucky to have him and JH. So lucky.
This commercial sucks ass. I hate to say it but the State Farm ads have been awful since he moved to Houston. Why kill off Cliff Paul?
